Lil Wayne has let it be known that he is in his own world and he isn’t worried about you, Black Lives Matter, or racism. Weezy is only focused on what’s going on in his brain, and as he put it, “who will pay this next bill.”
One would think that as a rapper who stays somewhat current and as a creative, Wayne may be inspired by today’s rappers.
There is clearly no inspiration, as Lil Wayne recently revealed that not only is he not inspired by today’s rappers for the moment, he doesn’t even know who they are!
The New York Times, recently sat down with Lil Wayne to talk prison, his new book, politics, his creative process, social injustice and more.
When asked,
“Are there rappers in the new school that are motivating you? Are you keeping up with Yachty, Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Kodak?”
Wayne replied saying,
“I swear to God I didn’t know you were saying people’s names just now, so that should probably answer that question. I just do my own thing.”
Ha! The slight shade by Tunechi is priceless! Y’all know a lot of today’s rappers suck and shouldn’t have waves or anyone’s attention anyway.
