Diamond Talks The Renewed Success Of “Knuck If You Buck” (VIDEO)

THE CRIME MOB ANTHEM HAS BEEN INTRODUCED TO A NEW GENERATION

(AllHipHop News) A lot of listeners under the age of 18 may not have known the beat used on “Juju On That Beat” before Zay Hilfigerrr & Zayion McCall’s dance song became a viral hit.

Plenty of people did recognize the sample as the 2004 club banger “Knuck If You Buck” by Crime Mob.

DJ Smallz spoke with Diamond from the Atlanta-based group about a new generation of fans discovering the Crunk anthem.

“We’re blessed to still be able to have a hit record that still lives 12, 13 years later,” said Diamond. “My nieces and nephews – 14, 15 – it’s just now coming to them.”

According to the Sisterhood of Hip Hop star, Crime Mob recorded five new songs together last year.

However, Diamond admitted there is still business related tension among a few of the members.

Meanwhile, “Knuck If You Buck” lives on.

The 28-year-old rapstress loves performing the song, but she admits the success of the cut can get bothersome at times.

“Oh my world, yes I do. I do. I do. I do,” responded Diamond when asked if she ever gets tired of Crime Mob’s signature song. “I want them to want to listen to something else.”
