(AllHipHop News) The FBI is asking for the Public’s help and catching the gunman who killed Drumma Boy older brother. In February, Ensayne Wayne, born Ferrell Miles, was involved in a shootout inside of Drumma Boy’s The House of Fresh clothing store in Northwest Atlanta. Police have charged Syranard Eugene Watson with felony capital murder. Investigators say the men were involved in a confrontation which resulted in both of them drawing weapons. Ensayne Wayne was struck in the chest and pronounced dead shortly after the shooting. The FBI has warned the public that Watson should be considered armed and dangerous. Drumma Boy explained Ensayne Wayne’s importance to his production in a statement issued shortly after his brother was killed. “He paved the way for me, introduced me to everybody he could, continuously bragged about me and gave me an alternative route to take.” Take a look at Syranard Eugene Watson: ​ ​

(AllHipHop News) New dad Travis Scott has been sued for skipping out on a gig on the eve of his baby birth announcement. The rapper became a dad last month, when his girlfriend Kylie Jenner gave birth to daughter Stormi, and now a promoter claims he bailed on a gig in Minnesota so he could be with the reality TV star. Scott was reportedly handed a six-figure advance that he has yet to pay back. According to documents, PJAM LLC officials claim they paid the star $150,000 of a $200,000 fee to perform at Myth Live in Minnesota on February 3, while his agent also allegedly secured a $10,000 booking fee. The promoter claims Scott refused to show up amid reports suggesting weather conditions were preventing him from getting to the gig. The rapper did however make it to a show in Las Vegas the same night. He and Kylie announced the news they had become parents the following day. PJAM bosses insist they’ve suffered “reputational harm” based on Scott’s failure to perform. They also allege they paid “significant sums” to advertise the event, lease a venue and “to hire a staff of waiters, bartenders and other assistants for the night.”

(AllHipHop News) Youngboy Never Broke Again avoided a ten-year prison sentence earlier this week, after a judge ruled an incident in Georgia was not enough to violate the rapper’s probation. The rapper is currently serving 10 years supervised probation for his role in a drive-by shooting in Baton Rouge in December of 2016. Youngboy, born Kentrell Gaulden, ran afoul of the law over an altercation with his girlfriend in Georgia, which resulted in a slew of new charges, including being a fugitive from justice in Georgia for alleged assault, weapons violations, and kidnapping. During a hearing last week, a judge stopped short of sending Youngboy to prison, and put a GPS monitor on the rapper, ordered him to undergo counseling and obtain his GED. His rap career will also suffer, since he is barred from leaving New Orleans, and can only travel to Atlanta, for his court appearances. The judge also banned Youngboy NBA from nightclubs and bars, and social media.

(AllHipHop News) Recently-unearthed video footage appearing to show embattled rapper XXXtentacion hitting a woman was filmed “in jest,” according to the star’s lawyer. The “Look At Me!” hitmaker is already under investigation relating to his 2016 domestic violence arrest, but prosecutors in Florida are now reportedly examining old cell phone footage, which emerged online this week (begs26Mar18), showing XXXTentacion dancing with a woman, before smacking her on the side of her head. It’s not clear how the video may affect the MC’s ongoing legal issue, as he is also facing felony charges of witness tampering, after allegedly coercing his girlfriend to not testifying against him. However, XXXTentacion’s attorney, Jaclyn Broudy, has played down the cellphone video controversy, telling TMZ.com the rapper and the woman in the clip are good friends, adding, “The video was taken completely in jest.” Broudy also questions the suspicious timing of the video’s release, and claims her client is a changed man. The new drama comes days after XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was granted permission to head out on tour while serving house arrest. He was handed the punishment and ordered to wear an ankle monitor in December after authorities filed the 15 counts of witness tampering against him. He will now be able to promote his new album, ?, which landed him his first U.S. number one on Sunday.

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West has ended his working relationship with longtime manager Izvor “Izzy” Zivkovic. According to editors at Billboard.com, the hitmaker has taken the decision to end his working relationship with Zivkovic, a discreet figure in Kanye’s camp who avoided the spotlight. The Croatian born manager, who was considered to be a close confidant of the multi-hyphenate musician, is believed to have joined the rapper/producer’s team around the time of the release of his 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. No details have been given concerning the reason for the split, which comes two years after the rapper added talent powerhouse Scooter Braun, who was primarily responsible for handling the artist’s non-music ventures such as his clothing line and Yeezy shoe, to his management team. The 36-year-old, who boasts Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande among his clients, is now expected to take on all management responsibilities for Kanye, who is represented by CAA. Meanwhile, Zivkovic will be kept busy at his Split Second Management company having added Arcade Fire, Banks, Jack Garratt and Kevin Garrett as clients in recent months. The news comes as Kanye faces the possibility of a legal battle with a Chinese company which scooped up the rights to sell clothing using his Yeezy brand.The rapper lost the trademark to sell Yeezy clothing last year. He filed documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to reclaim the mark for use selling apparel, but discovered a Chinese firm named Fujian Baby Network Technology Co. swooped in and trademarked the term ‘Yeezy Boost,’ the name of the shoes the hip-hop star designs for Adidas, as a clothing brand – two months before he did. A letter from Trademark Office officials to bosses at Kanye’s Mascotte Holdings company states that they have suspended his application due to the “likelihood of confusion” with the Yeezy Boost brand. The rapper launched his first Yeezy clothing collection, in collaboration with Adidas Originals, in 2015, and is currently preparing to debut his seventh season of apparel.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Fabolous ran into some relationship drama with his longtime girlfriend Emily B., last night (March 29). According to reports, Fabolous booked on domestic violence charges after he allegedly struck the “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star during an argument. Emily called the police on the rapper, who surrendered to cops with his attorney, in Englewood, New Jersey. Fab has been charged with aggravated assault and making a terroristic threat. In February of 2015, Fab and Emily welcomed their second child, a baby boy. The couple already has a 10-year-old son, Johan, and Emily has a 20-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

(AllHipHop News) The woman who accused rapper Nelly of rape has landed in the hospital over the intense publicity the case has been receiving. Monique Greene was briefly hospitalized last week citing “severe emotional distress” related to allegations and “the aftermath.” According to sources, a friend of Greene’s became concerned for her health after a disturbing phone call. The call led to friends convincing Greene to voluntarily visit a local hospital, where she was treated and released. Nelly was detained in Washington in October of 2017 after Monique Greene told police he had sexually violated her on his tour bus. Greene declined to testify or press charges against the hip-hop star, resulting in King County prosecutors formally dropping the case. Nelly, who adamantly disputed the allegations, is countersuing for defamation.

(AllHipHop News) Prosecutors sentenced DMX to one year in prison in his tax evasion case. The rap star admitted to hiding $1.7 million dollars in wages, from the years 2011-2013. “I was in a cloud,” DMX told the Judge. “I wasn’t thinking straight.” DMX hatched a scheme to use the bank accounts of surrogates instead of his own, to conceal his earnings from the government. In December of 2017, prosecutors dropped 13 of the charges against the rapper, leaving X to face one count of tax evasion But the rapper, boring Earl Simmons could not stay out of trouble while he was out on bail. He violated the conditions of his bail on two different occasions, including once when he tested positive for opioids, cocaine, and marijuana. This led to his imprisonment until his sentencing earlier today. DMX had hoped to take another try at rehab, even though several stints at various facilities over the past decade have not been able to help the rap star. The rapper also has to pay $2.7 million in restitution.

(AllHipHop News) Pharrell Williams has signed a new multi-year deal with bosses at his longtime publisher Sony/ATV Music. During his two decades with the company, Pharrell has enjoyed a string of hits as a songwriter, musician, and producer, and according to editors at Billboard magazine, he will now use that experience to mentor young songwriters signed to the publisher. In a statement, the Happy singer praised Sony/ATV Music Publishing chief Martin Bandier and head of marketing, Brian Monaco. “It’s incredible to think that it’s now 20 years since I first signed a publishing deal with these guys,” he said. “I look forward to continued success with Marty, Brian Monaco and Sony/ATV.” The two executives also spoke of their respect for Pharrell, who has provided them with huge hits with his band N.E.R.D., as a solo artist, and as a sought-after collaborator. (AllHipHop News) Usher, Common and The Roots are to perform at the launch of a memorial to African-American victims of lynching. The stars will hit the stage to mark the opening of the National Memorial for Peace and Justice at the Riverwalk Amphitheater in Montgomery, Alabama next month on April 27. Bluesman Gary Clark, Jr., Alabama Shakes singer Brittany Howard, and Kirk Franklin will also be part of the gig, dubbed the Concert for Peace & Justice. The memorial will be located on a hill above Montgomery where lynchings were once frequent. Officials at the Equal Justice Initiative, who have organized the concert, have documented more than 4,000 instances of African-American men, women, and children being hanged, shot, drowned or beaten to death by white lynch mobs between 1877 and 1950.

(AllHipHop News) Ja Rule has decided to cooperate with a bankruptcy probe relating the failed Fyre Festival in the Bahamas last April. According to reports, Ja has agreed to work with the trustee representing The Fyre Festival, in order to avoid coming under his microscope. According to Gregory Messer, Ja agreed to cooperate in exchange for “the withdrawal of an extensive information request” into his role in the festival, which the rapper claims were minimal. Gregory Messer is representing anyone who declares they are owed money from The Fyre Festival. In August of 2017, a judge forced Fyre Festival into bankruptcy, after a number of lenders claimed they had invested tens-of-millions of dollars into the festival and lost all their money. Organizers of the event are also facing a $100 million class-action lawsuit filed on behalf of all the festival attendees of the Fyre Festival, which was thought to be a luxurious event held in the Bahamas last April and May. Tickets for the festival, which included headliners like Blink-182, Pusha-T and Lil Yachty were sold for $1500-$250,000. The event was scrapped not long after guests started to arrive at the Great Exuma, Bahamas site in April of 2017, after finding a lack of food, accommodation, and poor facilities. It looks like Ja Rule will avoid criminal charges, but his business partner Billy McFarland is not so lucky. McFarland is facing between 8-10 years in prison, after recently pleading guilty to defrauding over 80 investigators, by falsifying documents to get more cash to put on the ill-fated concert. “I deeply regret my actions, and I apologize to my investors, team, family, and supporters who I let down,” McFarland said. A hearing regarding Ja Rule’s cooperation is slated to take place on 4/26/2018.

The hip-hop star took to Twitter on Sunday night to slam the TV commercial, which features a bartender sliding a bottle of alcohol down a bar, past black men and women, where it arrives at a lighter-skinned woman, before the line “something, lighter is better” pops up onscreen. Their alleged feud recently came to a head when Logic dropped “Yuck” off the Bobby Tarantino II mixtape. Many rap fans took lines from the song as indirect shots at Lucas, and the Massachusetts native apparently felt he was being dissed because he tweeted in response, “Say some names next time. scary ass.” In an interview with Hard Knock TV, Logic denies “Yuck” is a lyrical assault against Joyner. “I’m a man. If I really feel some type of way, I’m not even gonna say your name on a song or the internet. I’m gonna f-cking call you.
