(AllHipHop News) U-God just dropped some excerpts from his new book from “RAW: My Journey into the Wu-Tang.” The rapper, born Lamont “U-God” Hawkins, dropped the memoir earlier this month, which details his time as a member of the award-winning group, which has seen its shares of internal strife over their 25-year career. Fans get a detailed look inside of the Clan’s business in “RAW,” and U-God claimed the group has been hampered by RZA, and his domineering business ways over the past two decades. “It’s really years of BS catching up to RZA. See, he put his family in charge of s###, and for years, we would go on the road but the money came up short,” U-God claims in an excerpt published on RollingStone.com. According to U-God, the group has to pay anytime they want to use the famed Wu-Tang logo, which was originally sketched out on a napkin by Mathmatics, but trademarked by RZA. “To this very day his brother beefs when any of the original members attempt to use it,” U-God claims. “That to me is crazy — I mean, I understand if someone was using it without the group’s permission, but the members of the group itself? Wow, that’s just crazy. U-God also claims that each group member invested $40,000 of their individual royalties from their seminal, debut album: Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The members hae yet to see a profit, even though RZA still uses the famed “W” logo for his new clothing business, 36 Chambers ALC. “Wu Wear is coming back in time for our 25th anniversary, and that’s all great, but what people don’t know is that none of us — the original members who each invested a significant amount (around $40,000 apiece) from our 36 Chambers royalties and the Rage [Against the Machine] tour — ever saw a dime back from the first version of the line founded back in ‘97,” U-God writes. “And that’s something that needs to be addressed and rectified.” ​ ​

Sources claimed the former couple separated shortly after they attended the Grammy Awards together in January. The Black Eyed Peas star, who suffered from the condition as a child, courted controversy over the weekend, after telling Event magazine he is relieved his mother couldn’t afford to pay for the stimulant Ritalin, the drug typically prescribed to treat those with the disorder. He claims the medication does more harm than good and blames adults with a lack of patience for putting more and more youths on the drug. “It’s not the kids who are the problem, it’s the lazy parents and lazy teachers who want kids to take Ritalin,” he said. “You don’t need medication, you need patience with kids who have ADHD. (AllHipHop News) Rapper Juelz Santana’s detention hearing has reportedly been postponed over jurisdictional issues. The rapper, real name LaRon James, became a wanted man after fleeing Newark International Airport in New Jersey earlier this month when a loaded firearm was allegedly discovered in his bag at a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint. He subsequently surrendered to cops at the Port Authority Police Department and was booked for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft, both of which carry a 10-year maximum sentence. He was also booked for unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of drugs. James has pleaded not guilty to two of the weapons charges and the drug count. A detention hearing was scheduled for Monday, but it has been postponed to give court officials time to decide in which jurisdiction the case will be held. According to reports, the hearing will most likely take place later this week.

Pharrell and his wife Helen Lasichanh’s family grew by three in January, 2017, when they were blessed with the triplets. The musician’s growing brood hasn’t stopped him working however, and Charlie, who enlisted the N.E.R.D star to help him record his new album Voicenotes, said he’s been forced to work in the early hours to ensure Pharrell can spend time with his family. “Me and Pharrell work at like six o’clock in the morning,” he explained to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper. “I finally asked him: ‘Why are we working at like six o’clock?’ and he says, ‘Because I have triplets and I need to spend the day with them.’” The “Happy” singer, 44, and Helen, who also share nine-year-old son Rocket, have yet to publicly announce the sex or names of their new arrivals, but he did open up about the trials and tribulations of being a father to triplets last year. “I have a tribe,” Pharrell told U.S. news show Today. “It’s an assembly line … they harmonize (when they cry). (AllHipHop News) Attorneys for incarcerated rapper Meek Mill have appealed to Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court officials to grant him bail as he fights his probation violation sentence. Documents were filed in the state’s highest court on yesterday (March 19) requesting the release of the hip-hop star, who was ordered to serve two to four years behind bars in November of 2017 for violating the terms of his probation relating to a 2008 firearms case. Meek, real name Robert Rihmeek Williams, has been challenging the controversial ruling by Judge Genece Brinkley ever since, and last week, he scored a legal break as prosecutors declared they will not block his latest bid for bail. The decision emerged amid reports suggesting the arresting officer in Meek’s original 2008 case had been named as part of a huge police corruption scandal in Philadelphia and had been accused of lying under oath to put the MC in jail. Prosecutors cited the “strong showing of likelihood” that Meek’s old conviction will be reversed in court paperwork explaining the move on March 14, and the rapper’s attorneys highlighted the statement as they asked for their client’s immediate release. They also listed the numerous allegations against Graham relating to other cases to back up their argument, including claims suggesting he stole money from a crime scene and performed poorly on a polygraph test. The “Dreams and Nightmares” star has yet to comment on the Supreme Court filing, but in his first prison interview with Rolling Stone magazine, published last week, he revealed plans to use his experience to campaign for others who may have been unfairly treated by the justice system upon his release. “There’s brothers locked down that did nothing to be here but p### off people like (Judge Genece) Brinkley,” he said. “I want to speak on this system and what it does to black people – on both f##king sides of the fence.”

The footage showed the little boy wrapped in a blue and white blanket as his mother kissed him tenderly on the forehead. Fetty has yet to comment on the new arrival on his own social media accounts. The baby boy’s arrival comes just two months after the 26-year-old musician welcomed daughter Alayia with ex-girlfriend Alexis Skyy back in January. Alayia remains in hospital as she was born three months early. She’s still using a feeding tube and requires help breathing, but Alexis told fans on Twitter that her little girl will hopefully be allowed home in the near future. “I swear being your mother is the best thing that happen to me the countdown begins,” she tweeted as news of Fetty’s latest arrival broke alongside a picture of herself holding the baby girl. The Atlanta rapper recently signed a joint venture deal with Mike WiLL Made-It’s Ear Drummer Records/Interscope Records. Trouble is preparing a new album titled Edgewood as the inaugural release with Mike WiLL Made-It’s imprint. Mike WiLL Made-It was clear he planned on taking Trouble’s career to the next level. “No other producer/artist combo can pull off what Trouble and I are about to do. Edgewood is only the beginning. (AllHipHop News) Trey Songz has surrendered to police in Los Angeles, over claims he beatdown a former girlfriend at a party during NBA All-Star Weekend. The singer was hit with a felony domestic violence charge early today (March 19). During a press conference last week, Andrea Buera insisted Trey Songz beat her up for supposedly flirting with one of his friends. Buera alleges the “Bottoms Up” singer hit such force, that she had to be treated for a concussion. “[He] knocked me to the ground,” Buera claimed. “While I was on the ground, he continued punching me and did not stop until his security guard pulled him off me.” Buera said she needed to call for an Uber car service to pick her up after the fight, but she said Trey Songz stole her cell phones and threw them off a cliff. Trey was released on $50,000 bond and took to his social media accounts to deny the accusations Buera has leveled against him. “I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain,” Trey Songz claimed. The rapper, born Kentrell Gaulden, was arrested in Tallahassee in February, for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Jania. Last week, Youngboy NBA was finally allowed to leave jail, after posting $75,000 bail. But a grand jury in Waycross, Georgia has also just indicted the Baton Rouge rapper for two counts, aggravated assault, and kidnapping. The charges stem from an incident, where the 18-year-old got into a brawl with his girlfriend, which was caught on camera and quickly went viral. The charges create a legal quandary for the rapper, who is already on 10-years probation, stemming from his role in a drive-by shooting in December of 2016.
