Britain’s The Sun newspaper reports the top-secret inking session took place during a romantic date night, days after their baby daughter was born. “They went to a tattoo artist and got secret matching tattoo tributes to their daughter. They haven’t told people what they got. Kylie organized it as a surprise and Travis loved it,” the source said The news comes after Kylie’s ex Tyga broke his silence on the baby’s arrival. Speaking on the radio show “Everyday Struggle,” he said he is still in touch with the new mom and hears from her “every now and then”. “It was a relationship in front of the world, and that was it,” the rapper explained. “She has her new life, I have my new life and that’s it. There’s no bad blood, no problems.”

Kylie was nowhere to be seen at the gig, however, her big sister Khloe Kardashian’s NBA star boyfriend Tristan Thompson, was at the event, along with two of her ex-boyfriends – basketball player James Harden and French Montana. The unlikely trio hung out together and enjoyed a few drinks while watching Travis onstage, according to E! News.

The “Humble.” hitmaker co-curated the project, recruiting stars like The Weeknd, Khalid, SZA, Future, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, and James Blake to contribute to the disc, and now their hard work has paid off, with the album debuting at number one. It shifted 154,000 equivalent units in its first week on release, with 52,000 of those in traditional sales. The chart news emerges on the same day it was announced the Marvel blockbuster had officially shattered North American box office records, landing the fifth highest-grossing debut to date with a massive $361 million haul. Back in the Billboard 200, Justin Timberlake slips to second place with Man of the Woods, followed by The Greatest Showman soundtrack, which stays put at three. Rappers Migos are in fourth with Culture II, and the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack enters at five.

(AllHipHop News) A lawyer for Meek Mill has blasted the “mind-blowing” allegations that a policeman involved in his case reportedly lied under oath to put the rapper behind bars. Mill, real name Robert Williams, was sentenced to two-to-four years behind bars in November, for violating his probation relating to a 2008 drug and gun bust. And on Wednesday, former Philadelphia police officer Jerold Gibson accused one of his ex-colleagues of lying under oath. According to Philly.com, Gibson filed a sworn statement disputing the claims of Mill’s arresting officer in 2007, Reggie Graham. Graham was the only witness to testify against the rapper during the 2008 trial. Gibson accused Graham of falsely accusing Mills of pointing a gun at police as they tried to arrest him outside of a suspect drug stash house, according to the report. In the wake of Gibson’s sworn statement, Mill’s legal team have blasted the revelations, and have started a new push to get the rapper released. “It’s mind-blowing, but it’s also just par for the course in this case,” attorney Joe Tacopina told Billboard. “It really is for this case. It’s over the top. It’s insane.” “The guilty verdicts were expressly based on the court crediting Officer Graham’s testimony,” one of Mill’s legal team, lawyer Peter Goldberger, wrote to the judge in a motion filed Wednesday. “Without Graham’s testimony, (he) could not have been convicted on any count.” Meek is set to go before Judge Genece Brinkley on April 16, with his team hoping he’ll have his prison sentence overturned. Earlier this week, the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper revealed a list of police officers who had a documented history of lying, racial bias, cruelty, or abuse of power, including Graham.

(AllHipHop News) Waka Flocka Flame saved the life of a selfie-taking fan while in New Orleans. A female fan is seen in the video trying to get a shot of her with the rapper on Bourbon Street in the Louisiana city. Flame, real name Juaquin James Malphurs, is then seen pulling her from oncoming traffic as a cab approaches. Passers-by and fans surrounding the rapper all scream as the woman is nearly hit, however, the fan barely lifts her head from her phone in the clip. She later tweeted the rapper on social media and thanked him for saving her life. “Met @WakaFlocka last night at madi gras (sic)… after this video he saved my life, almost got hit by car yall,” the unnamed fan captioned a short clip of her walking beside Flame, shortly before he pulled her to safety. “Na frfr (for real, for real) be safe Lil lady,” he replied on Twitter.

(AllHipHop News) It looks like Benzino and his wife Althea could be heading back to “Marriage Bootcamp.” According to reports, Althea Eaton was arrested on last night (February 18th) for smacking Zino and it all happened in front of the police. According to TMZ.com, the LAPD went to Althea Eaton’s home in the San Fernando Valley, regarding a domestic dispute. When Benzino, born Raymond Scott reportedly refused to leave the house, Althea struck the rapper in the head. Althea, who starred in “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” with her husband, was arrested for misdemeanor battery and was sent to jail on $20,000 bail. She was released earlier today (February 19th). (AllHipHop News) A Los Angeles album release party for rapper Nipsey Hussle ended in chaos on over the weekend, after shots were fired, hitting one person in the leg. The hip-hop star had been celebrating the launch of Victory Lap at the World on Wheels roller skating rink, which he became the owner of last summer when a weapon was fired in the parking lot, sending people inside running for cover. Police rushed to the scene of the incident in Venice, but the gunman had already escaped and the shooter’s victim, who was struck in the thigh, refused to co-operate with cops. It’s not clear if Nipsey had already left World on Wheels by the time of the shooting, but authorities were unable to locate him on the premises as they investigated the crime. His party wasn’t the only event on Saturday to be interrupted by a gun-related scare – fellow rapper Rich the Kid had his performance at Hollywood nightclub Lure derailed after police received reports of a man brandishing a firearm in the parking lot. Armed cops descended on the area, ordering people to step out of their cars as they searched for the suspect, who was not found. Rich the Kid’s club gig was held as part of the NBA All-Star Weekend celebrations, which took place in Los Angeles this year.

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West surprised fans in Los Angeles over the weekend, when he joined forces with fellow rapper Kid Cudi for his first performance of the year. The “Day ‘n’ Nite” star was in the middle of his set at the Adidas 747 Warehouse St. event, held to coincide with the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend, when his DJ began spinning Kanye’s “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” track, on which Cudi features. In video footage from the show, Cudi can be seen dancing to the tune, before turning to face the back of the stage as Kanye makes his entrance, wearing a cap, sweatshirt, and shorts, sending the crowd wild. The two pals, who briefly fell out in 2016, then launch into the song as soon as the bass drops. Celebrating Kanye’s stage return, rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs took to Instagram and wrote, “One time for my brother @kanyewest and @kidcudi at the #747WarehouseSt today!!!” His post was accompanied by footage of Kanye calling Cudi his “brother” as he urged fans to “make some noise” at the gig, which was streamed live on Diddy’s Revolt network. Kanye has been keeping a low profile ever since he was hospitalized in late 2016 and treated for “temporary psychosis” caused by dehydration and sleep deprivation, weeks after his wife Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint and robbed in Paris, France. (AllHipHop News) Emmy award-winning hip-hop group August Greene dropped their newest single “Black Kennedy.” It is the second single for the supergroup, which consists of Common, Robert Glasper, and Karriem Riggins. According to Common, the track was inspired by a famous American family. “For many people, the Kennedy family symbolizes royalty and represents power, style, and influence,” Common said. “And I thought if I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna do it in a black way.” Earlier this month, the group released the single and video for their debut track “Optimistic.” Group member Karriem Riggins added that he got the chills when he was recording the latest single. “It is a theme that represents royalty and brilliance. It also has J Dilla’s influences, and it reminded us of the great times spent with him creating music,” Karriem Riggins added. August Greene’s self-titled Amazon Original album is due out March 9th. (AllHipHop News) Sean Kingston’s lawsuit against bosses at a nightclub over an alleged altercation has been dismissed after the rapper stopped showing up to court. The “Beautiful Girls” star was at the Penthouse Nightclub & Dayclub in Los Angeles in 2016, when he was reportedly approached by two men who beat him up and stole a $300,000 necklace from around his neck. Kingston alleged the security guards at the club were behind the attack, during which he was assaulted, punched and hit with a champagne bottle. Kingston was seeking a minimum of $900,000 in the lawsuit, but according to reports, the case has been dismissed after the singer failed to show up to court twice. The case has been dismissed with prejudice, giving Kingston the chance to re-file in the future.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Hi-Rez is mourning the death of his cousin, who was killed in a high school shooting in Florida last Wednesday (February 14). The rapper, who also attended Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, lost his cousin Nick Dworet in the shooting. “I remember walking those halls for 4 years and never once feared for my life,” Hi-Rez told TheBlast.com. “This is terrible. Losing family is unthinkable I Wish I spent more time with my cousin, he’s my blood, he was taken too soon.” Unfortunately, another one of Hi-Rez’ cousins was also shot and wounded in the rampage, which claimed the life of 16 other students. Hi-Rez has launched a GoFundMe campaign, to help cover the upcoming funeral expenses for Nick, and to help with medical expenses for his other cousin. Last Thursday, Nikolas Cruz admitted to committing the mass shooting with an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle, which he had purchased legally.

That’s because a food truck in Seattle, Washington has moved to trademark the name ChicagoWest. “After completing our first year of business, trademarking was on our list of ‘to-dos’ for 2018,” the owner of the truck said. “We are also reviewing our sales and revamping our menu, which made it a perfect time to add our new BabyWest offering.” The owners of ChicagoWest thought it would be cute to name food items on their food truck’s menu after the newborn since the baby happens to share the same name as their business. The owners of ChicagoWest are seeking to trademark the name to sell hot dogs, popcorn, and sandwiches.

Snoop Dogg hosted the award ceremony at the NOVO at LA Live, where Jermaine Dupri and Timberland were honored for their contributions to hip-hop, and pop culture in general. Usher presented Jermaine Dupri with the Breaking Barriers Award and Pharrell presented Timbaland with the Lifetime Achievement Award. “I’m truly blessed to be honored with the Breaking Barriers Award,” said honoree Jermaine Dupri. “I’ve worked with so many talented artists and DJs to produce great music over the years. The secret to breaking musical barriers is simple – practice makes perfect.
