(AllHipHop News) Comedian, rapper and actor Donald Glover has confirmed reports he’s a new dad. The star, aka Childish Gambino, tells Entertainment Tonight he and his girlfriend, named Michelle, recently welcomed their second child together. “She’s (girlfriend) great. She’s good. Baby’s born, so she’s happier now,” Glover said. He used his Emmy Awards acceptance speech in September to reveal he was set to become a father of two. After winning his second award of the evening, the Lead Actor in a Comedy Series gong for his role in Atlanta, Donald told the audience, “I’m so happy, wow. Thank you guys so much. This is nuts. “I want to thank Michelle, my partner. You love me even how crazy I get. I want to thank my baby, my son, for just being the joy in my life. I want to thank my unborn son, we’re listening to Stevie tonight.” Donald and Michelle became first-time parents in 2016 when they welcomed son Legend into the world. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight backstage at the awards, Donald opened up further about the prospect of having two young sons, joking, “It feels like she’s (Michelle) been pregnant for a long time.” Asked when the tot is due, he added, “Probably by the end of the year sometime, I think.” It’s going to be a big year for the rapper and actor – he’ll appear as a young Lando Calrissian in “Star Wars spin-off Solo: A Star Wars Story,” while voicing Simba for the upcoming “The Lion King” remake.

(AllHipHop News) Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus has booked his first modeling campaign. The 20-year-old rising fashion star has been booked by luxury leather goods label MCM Worldwide. He’s also set to star in a Kenneth Cole advertisement in February, and he’ll be writing and directing a short film for British brand Kangol. Cordell is managed by former Wilhelmina Models agent Kendall Werts under the Jeffries Group. The former UCLA football player first made a splash in the fashion world when he walked for Dolce & Gabbana in Milan in June. He was joined by Joseph ‘Rev. Run’ Simmons’ son Diggy Simmons and Christian Combs, son of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, on the all-star runway. He also took part in the Philipp Plein catwalk show during New York Fashion Week in September. And on top of his modeling gigs, Cordell has also found the time to create a clothing line. He debuted the label, Snoop x Joyrich, created in collaboration with Tom Hirota, founder of L.A. streetwear brand Joyrich, at MADE LA in June last year, and even enlisted his famous father to play at the show.

Olly is joining coaches Tom Jones, Will and Jennifer Hudson on the second series of the ITV1 show following the departure of Gavin Rossdale. And in an interview with British newspaper The Sun , Will spoke freely on his first impressions of the former “X Factor” contestant, who has made the transition from talent to talent-spotter. Will, who has ­featured in all seven UK series of the show, admitted he has been impressed by Olly’s early stint in the spinning chair as the show gears up to return to screens on Saturday. “I love his personality, he’s friendly, nice, kind and he’s not going to be dominant,” he smiled. “I think he could be an actor. In November, the “One Mic” star, full name Nasir Jones, filed court papers claiming the “Milkshake” singer is currently only allowing him visitation with their eight-year-old son Knight “when she deems it convenient for her,” even though he has done his best to co-operate with his ex-following their separation in April 2009, when she was seven months pregnant. The rap star asked for an official custody schedule to be put in place and suggested Knight spends the first, third, and fifth weekend of every month with him. Nas also proposed having Knight stay with each parent for their own birthdays, while celebrating Mother’s Day with Kelis and Father’s Day with the hip-hop hitmaker. Last month Kelis filed a request for a court hearing. Nas and Kelis, who wed in 2005, finalized their divorce in 2010. The rapper is also dad to 23-year-old daughter Destiny from his relationship with ex-girlfriend Carmen Bryan, while Kelis welcomed another son in 2015. She has never publicly revealed the identity of the boy’s father. Meanwhile, reports suggest Nas’ romance with Nicki Minaj is over. Sources claim the couple’s time apart torpedoed the relationship.

(AllHipHop News) R&B star Mario Winans is reportedly facing arrest after he failed to surrender to police and attend a mandatory child support hearing on Wednesday. The “I Don’t Wanna Know” singer was due in court in Bergen County, New Jersey for a child support enforcement hearing, but he failed to appear. Winans was called to court to explain why he has not been consistent in paying his $3,500-a-month child support payments for his 12-year-old son. In September, Winans was arrested for failing to pay over $178,000. He was subsequently released on $10,000 bail, which went towards his child support arrears, and he was granted a week to pay the remaining $170,000. However, he did not make the payment and arrest warrants were issued in November and December.

(AllHipHop News) Incarcerated rap mogul Marion ‘Suge’ Knight has accused prosecutors in his murder case of eavesdropping on his prison phone calls. The fallen record executive is due to stand trial on charges of murder, attempted murder, and hit-and-run after allegedly running down Terry Carter and Cle ‘Bone’ Sloan during a 2015 altercation in a Los Angeles parking lot. Carter was killed but Sloan survived his injuries. Knight’s lawyers attempted to score a pre-trial break in the case by filing papers in late December, claiming their attorney-client privileges had been violated by prosecutors and members of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, who were reportedly able to listen in on all of their phone conversations and jail visits, thanks to previous orders granted by judges who were not qualified to oversee the legal proceedings. According to Los Angeles Superior Court papers, the defense team believes all communications between the attorneys and their client have been monitored since August 2016, impeding their right to a fair trial. Calling the alleged actions an “abuse of power,” they added, “Defendant will suffer continued irreparable harm to his ability to properly defend himself if the present circumstance set forth herein below, are not immediately judicially addressed. “At the present, the undersigned have NO MEANS of counseling their client without government interference and eavesdropping.” Despite their arguments, Knight and his attorneys have since been denied their motion to throw out the previous court orders. The Death Row Records co-founder, 52, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. If convicted, he faces life behind bars.

(AllHipHop News) Mary J. Blige’s estranged husband Martin ‘Kendu’ Isaacs has blamed the stress of their contentious divorce for landing him in hospital. The R&B superstar has been fighting Isaacs, her former manager, over finances ever since filing court papers to end their 12-year marriage in July, 2016. Last summer, Blige was ordered to pay her ex $30,000 a month in temporary spousal support, but Isaacs has been trying to get the figure bumped up to $65,000 since October, claiming he is close to becoming “destitute” after failing to find work since their separation. He also accused the “No More Drama” hitmaker of making things worse for him by singing about their marital breakdown on recent tracks like “Love Yourself” and “Set Me Free” from her album Strength of a Woman. The judge overseeing the former couple’s case shot down Isaacs’ bid for more cash in the autumn and in new legal documents, the businessman alleges the court clash has taken its toll on his health. His lawyer writes, “(Isaacs) has experienced physical manifestations of stress and emotional distress from this matter, which has caused him to become hospitalized.” It’s not known when Isaacs received the medical attention, but in the new filing, his lawyer reiterates the struggle his client has had finding a new job, insisting he is “unemployable”, which has made it “impossible” for him to keep up with rent payments without Blige’s financial help. The divorce battle is set to go to trial in March. Blige previously protested having to pay Isaacs temporary spousal support, after accusing him of being unfaithful during their marriage, and she has since even offered to personally cover a massive $11 million debt the pair owes if the judge agrees to end her spousal support payments.

(AllHipHop News) The father of rapper Earl Sweatshirt, South African poet Keorapetse Kgositsile, has died at the age of 79. The writer and political activist passed away at Johannesburg’s Milpark Hospital on Wednesday morning according to local reports. Kgositsile began his career at anti-apartheid newspaper New Age and rose to prominence as an outspoken member of the African National Congress liberation movement in the early 1960s. He subsequently went into exile in Tanzania, before moving to the U.S. to pursue various college degrees, becoming a Master of Fine Arts in poetry at New York’s Columbia University. His first book of poetry, “Spirits Unchained,” was published in 1969, while his other writings include “Pro/Creation” (for Pharoah Sanders), and “The Gods Wrote.” Kgositsile was appointed South Africa’s poet laureate in 2006. During his studies in the U.S., he fell in love with law professor Cheryl Harris, and they went on to have a child together, Thebe Neruda Kgositsile, who was born in 1994. He has since become more well known as Odd Future star Earl Sweatshirt. Sweatshirt has referenced his complicated bond with his father in numerous songs, including “Blade” and “Grown Ups.” The 23-year-old has yet to comment on his dad’s passing.

The hip-hop star, who proposed to fellow rapper Cardi B live onstage in October, admitted to fathering a child with Justine Watson in November and she subsequently filed documents seeking to establish Offset, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was the father of her son, Jordan, and to compel him to pay child support. She is demanding retroactive child support and $15,000 in attorney’s fees. Offset has won a bid to keep his financial and personal information sealed, and a judge has since granted his request for a “protective and confidentiality order.” If the order is violated by either party they will be fined.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Chief Keef was under the influence of eight different drugs when he was arrested in Miami, Florida last spring, according to a new toxicology report. The “Love Sosa” hitmaker was taken into custody for driving under the influence (DUI) by Florida police officers in April, after the cops allegedly witnessed him take part in a marijuana drug deal. Keef, real name Keith Cozart, submitted his urine for testing after the arrest and toxicologists have confirmed he had eight drugs in his system at the time of his arrest. The substances included morphine, codeine, promethazine, marijuana, hydrocodone, norcodeine, dihydrocodeine, and hydromorphone. Cozart’s legal battle in Miami is the latest in a series of legal spats – the star is also in trouble with the law in South Dakota following an arrest for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
