(AllHipHop News) After Anchor Bay Entertainment picked up the rights to release Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg’s film, Mac and Devin Go to High School, last month, news on the film’s release has been rather quiet, until now. “It’s Official! Mac and Devin Go To High School DVD is hittin’ shelves July 3! We’ve got a bunch of little stuff leading up to the release for you. First up… Mac and Devin’s High School Tips,” Wiz Khalifa stated on his Facebook page. The film, which was directed by Dylan Brown, stars Wiz Khalifa as an “academic overachiever struggling to write his valedictorian speech because he realizes he has little life experience,” and Snoop Dogg as a “senior now going on his 15th year of high school who has a thing for the new substitute teacher. The two find inspiration in each other and team to achieve their respective goals.” Mike Epps, Affion Crockett, and Andy Milonakis all have roles in Mac and Devin Go To High School, which also features a cameo from Far East Movement, and narration from Mystikal. The official soundtrack to Mac and Devin Go To High School was released back in December and produced the platinum-selling hit single, “Young, Wild and Free”, which also featured Bruno Mars. EXCLUSIVE: Action Bronson Talks Upcoming Projects With Alchemist and Harry Fraud; Announces "Blue Chips 2"

(AllHipHop News) After recent appearances at both The Bamboozle and Soundset festivals last month, Action Bronson is ready to showcase new music in the form of multiple upcoming releases. “Bam Bam” Bronson spoke briefly to AllHipHop.com about some of the in-the-works projects on his upcoming slate. First up, if everything goes according to his plan, will be Bronson’s and producer Alchemist‘s upcoming collaboration, Rare Chandeliers. “Well, me and Alchemist have been working a lot, so that’s next,” he told us. “We got a bunch of joints out there, man. We ready for this year. That will be the next thing – very soon. I want to get it out just as bad as a couple of people want to hear it.” In addition to Rare Chandeliers, the MC from Flushing, Queens has another project on the the horizon with one of the hottest producers in the game right now, Harry Fraud. “Me and Harry cooked up about 30 songs already; we’ve got some craziness,” Bronson told AllHipHop.com about his and Harry’s Saab Stories. “It’s some sh*t that’s just like – I don’t have words, I just can’t wait for all the projects to come out.” When asked about a sequel to 2011’s Well Done with Statik Selektah, A.B. disappointingly told AllHipHop.com, “I love Statik, but I don’t know. He’s always f*cking touring in f*cking Zimbabwe. I don’t know what he’s doing.” Bronson was enthusiastic about the idea, but it appears that some pieces will need to fall in place before the fans get the much-talked about follow-up they’ve been demanding. About his new music, Bronson tweeted last night (June 4), “BLUE CHIPS 2 is underway.” The project is a sequel to his first Blue Chips, which was released earlier this year and entirely produced by Fool’s Gold own Party Supplies. Although no official date has been announced, fans can expect Blue Chips 2 to be released in the near future.

In addition, following the success of his first book, My Infamous Life, Prodigy has announced that he is working on a second project that will focus entirely on his time spent behind bars. The rapper told XXL last month, “This one is strictly and entirely about my experience in jail. I left that out of the first book on purpose, so I could put this out. It’s basically my experience—day by day—like a diary joint, type of thing,” he continued. “You know, what was going on in there, what I experienced in there, and what I took out of it. Just the whole story. Only a few people will know what that’s like, the people I met and how the COs (correction officers) were, just different things like that.” Check out a full tracklisting for H.N.I.C. 3 below: 1. According to a press release, “Four-time Platinum selling artist DMX will play a headlining role at Rock the Bells this summer, performing songs from his six Billboard chart-topping albums. Joining him will be label-mates Eve and Jadakiss, slated to perform their own sets.” In addition to the festival’s just-added performers, Rock the Bells has rounded up Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Sheek Louch, Styles P., and Jadakiss as mentioned before, to perform their brand new collaborative album, Wu-Block, for the first time in it’s entirety.” Following performances at yesterday’s Hot 97 Summer Jam concert event in New Jersey, Guerrilla Union as also announced the inclusion of both Future and Pusha T to this year’s lineup, both of which will be making their first appearance at the festival as solo artists. Guerrilla Union founder Chang Weisberg said, “I am thrilled to announced all the great artist additions to Rock the Bells. The Variety of talent makes this lineup the most dynamic yet. Yelawolf To Release "Psycho White EP" With Travis Barker Before Shady Album; "Country Cousins" With Big K.R.I.T. Also In Works

(AllHipHop News) Billboard is reporting that before Yelawolf continues work on his sophomore Shady Records album, Love Story, the Huntsville, Alabama, native will be releasing the Psycho White EP with producer, drummer and close friend, Travis Barker. According to Yelawolf, the Psycho White EP is set to include five brand-new songs: “Every time we would get in the lab we’d knock something out. We just collaborated and… had a meeting of the minds. There’s a lot of cool stuff we came up with.” While there is no official release date for Psycho White EP yet, Yela told Billboard that all the logistics are in the works. “I don’t know Travis’ situation fully, the legals of it, whether it’s going to be free or sold or whatever but it’ll be available,” he said. “As artists, hopefully we can get it on the shelves, but we’ll get it out there somehow. I’m just hyped for people to hear it.” Despite the upcoming EP, new album and multiple other projects on the horizon, Yela is far from throwing in the towel on his debut, Radioactive. “We’re still in full Radioactive mode,” he said. “I did Radioactive in two weeks, and I don’t want to feel that rushed ever again. I’m very proud of it. But just looking up to people, the pioneers who put out great albums, I’d like to put a few months into a great album.” Yela also told Billboard  that he has an 11-minute short “horror film” in the bag to be used as a visual accompaniment to his song, “Growin’ Up in the Gutter,” which is also on his Shady Records debut, Radioactive. “It’s really over the top, really… intense. It’s super controversial. It was supposed to be out a couple months ago, but there’s a lot of legal bullsh*t, clearing footage and stuff. That’s put a damper on it, but it’ll be coming out soon,” remarked Yelawolf. In addition to the Psycho White EP with Barker and the “Growin’ Up in the Gutter” short-film, Yelawolf, who teamed up with UK singer Ed Sheeran back in February for the 4-track Slumdon Bridge EP, is also still keeping his fingers crossed regarding the much-talked about collaborative project between himself and Def Jam recording artist, Big K.R.I.T. Yela said, “[Country Cousins] been like a two-year thing, man; I’m busy, he’s busy, and it doesn’t get done. We know that when we get together, it can’t be half-assed. That’s my homey for life, so it could go down at any moment. There’s no definite date, no definite time. I’m such a huge fan of his. I really want to do music with him, so I know it’ll happen.”
