5 Underrated Artists On Soundcloud

Are you a bit lost on Soundcloud? Has Kendrick’s new song “I” over-flood your stream from several friends who either love or hate (which would be a bit redundant) it? Well, AllHipHop has got you with a few songs to like (or download) right now. While the big artists gather millions or more listens from the same massive group of Soundcloud members playing their single repetitively, these 5 artists remain slept on with some of the best music to offer now.

D.R.A.M. – Cha Cha

D.R.A.M. is a rapper/singer that’s been getting a lot of attention from his latest project #EpicSummer. The Hampton, Virginia resident provides a completely diverse array of rap-tunes within one mixtape. You might hear a slow-pitched song with D.R.A.M. singing, then you might here a southern influenced beat with the him on the chorus. The overall experience will keep you wanting to listen to #EpicSummer in its entirety. D.R.A.M.’s talent can be summed up through the single “Cha Cha”. Equipped with thumping 808s and a Super Mario Bros. sample, “Cha Cha” is a song fit for anyone, and its catchy chorus will be in your head and never leave. Trust us….it won’t.

Al Rogers Jr – Sadewithlove

Baltimore’s been brewing with a plethora of talented artists, but the local rapper Al Rogers Jr. seems to be one of the few getting a lot of attention. It all started with his Almost EP that dropped in the spring last year. Roger’s debut project received a ton of critical acclaim, including a spot on the Baltimore Sun and interest from VICE. Even with all of the love for Al Rogers’ past project, the dude’s been dropping serious songs during his hiatus. As his creative process gets deeper release after release, it makes you more anticipated on what he’ll drop next. Al Rogers Jr’s latest release “Sadewithlove” provides a Sade sample and an uptempo beat that gives off a cheery sound. And you thought all Baltimore had was house music….wrong!

ForteBowie – Blasphemy 3

This ATLien has a lot of talent, but still doesn’t get as much attention that he should. However, a set at Trillectro and consistent singles and collabs does make ForteBowie an artist to loom out for in the near future. ForteBowie combines both southern production with R&B singing. The combination might be weird, but both factors come together successfully when played. His project ViceHaus was one of the most low-key releases last year, but the time passed hasn’t made his project age by far. Even a year later, Sephoras Song II is still dope. “Blasphemy 3″ is obviously a 3-peat to the Blasphemy series, but this time around, Forte provides a futuristic aspect to his beat.

Rome Fortune – FriendsMaybe (feat. ILOVEMAKONNEN)

This is another ATLien that has been making a lot of dope music (and unexplainably weird cover art). Rome Fortune is one of those artists that can be musically versatile. He’s been doing a ton of different songs with a ton of different artists ALONG with releasing 2 projects this year alone. He’s also been collabing with ATL’s most talented rappers like Gucci Mane, Young Thug, Peewee Longway, the list goes on. Before Fortune started his Small World tour, he released a new track featuring the maker of the odd hit “Tuesday”, ILOVEMAKONNEN. It’s off tone chorus and wierd upbeat production makes the song weird at first, but it’ll get to you after the third playback. Rome Fortune is definitely one of the most prospective artists making a new sound in ATL now, let’s just see what are his moves gonna be.

GrandeMarshall – Pull Up’s Theme

It’s been a while since GrandeMashall released any music, but this track might be the first of many to come. The Philadelphia rapper released the new track “Pull Up’s Theme” a few days ago, and this definitely the track to make your seats rattle. The track provides a bass-rattling beat, while Grande spits rhymes. The beat soon switches up to into a melodic sound and Grande continues to destroy it. Hopefully we can find more new material from Mr.Pull-Up in the future.
