Coming out of Marcy Houses surrounded by the sounds of music moguls like Jay Z, Jay Citee developed a distinctive ear for music tempos and flows. Eventually, deciding early on to put his music talents to the test. Not only did he learn the amount of time and effort it takes to create a music record, but he studied the success stories of some of the artists who were most influential to him. Day in and day out, Jay Citee continued to find ways to elevate his music talents in an effort to prepare him for the position he wants to be in.

For the past few years Jay Citee has taken his talents to multiple showcases. His originality and distinctive sound has given him the chance to grace the same stages as Playboi Carti and Dave East. In his most recent project “In My Own Lane,” Jay demonstrates his pure grind and focus. In this Cash Money AP produced single, “Pull Up,” he describes the fact that as he begins to make his mark he’s received empty threats from those who don’t want to see him progress.

A lot of people like to talk but they never want to pull up My Touch Money/ Jawns Only crew are people that I trust so if anything ever goes down, I know who has my back – that’s why we use the saying, Trust My Brothers”- Jay Citee
