(AllHipHop News) The rapper formerly known as Bizzy Crook has changed his name, but the Florida native is continuing to put out music under the name BZZY.

Tidal premiered a new song from BZZY titled “Letters From Syria.”

The track addresses the tragic turmoil taking place in the Middle East country.

Syria has been engaged in a bloody civil war since 2011, and over 470,000 people have reportedly been killed since the conflict began.

“As an artist with a platform, no matter how big or small, it’s important to speak for those without a voice,” states BZZY.

“Letters From Syria” is the latest example of a performer using Tidal to focus on pertinent issues.

Beyoncé, Jay Z, Damian Marley, Yasiin Bey, The Lox, T.I., and others have presented social or political themed art on the streaming platform.
