Veteran rappers Tribeca-Grand drop their new song “NY-PHI,” now available on Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes.
The duo turns a Grammy-winning Hip-Hop classic on its head.
Digable Planets’ “Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like That)” makes a chopped-up cameo while Tribeca (BX) and Grand Agent (North Philly) send up an ode to their respective hometowns.
The song also includes an interpolation of Boyz II Men’s Grammy Award-winner “Motownphilly.”
The artwork, created by renowned Australian artist Cint Clare, is equally adventurous, turning the Statue of Liberty into a medallion-rockin’ femcee.
