50 Cent Pleads Not Guilty To Assault Charges

G-Unit rapper 50 Cent pleaded not guilty Monday (November 8) to assault charges following an alleged incident at a summer concert in Springfield, Massachusetts where three women were injured.50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, reportedly jumped into the crowd at the concert after a spectator threw water at the Queens-bred rapper. A clerk magistrate determined probable cause for the assault and battery charges against 50 after an investigation and a hearing last month, according to published reports. 50’s attorney Steve Leary entered the innocent plea in Springfield District Court, and 50 is expected to go for a pre-trial conference February 8. The multi-platinum rapper is currently recording his second album, due out next spring. 50 also plans to release a semi-autobiographical film called “Lock and Loaded” later next year, following the lead of rapper Eminem’s hugely successful “8 Mile” film.
