The Massacre‘s “God Gave Me Style” was one 50 song his grandmother found special. The G-Unit leader spoke with Revolt about that particular track.

“The first song that I wrote for The Massacre was ‘God Gave Me Style’,” said 50. “If you asked me to make one wish, it would be for that record to be a success. And you know what happens? When I make the song, I go to my grandma and I play the record for her. And she’s like, ‘Wow you got one for me’.”

While 50’s nana was a fan of “God Gave Me Style” she told her grandson not to move to far away from the sound that made him a music superstar.

“When she hears the content to ‘God Gave Me Style,’ she says, ‘Oh you made one for me’,” revealed 50. “‘Yeah I’ma do it a little different this time.’ And she’s like, ‘Okay, just don’t forget why they liked you in the first place’.”

50 eulogized his grandmother on Instagram. While mourning the death of Ms. Jackson, Fiddy also used IG to celebrate the life of his young son.

My angel (Beulah Jackson) God has blessed me with letting her see me win. She was proud of me, now how i see my self is all that matters.
