(AllHipHop News) Toni Braxton has opened up about her wedding plans, revealing she is looking for a dress that is “appropriate but sexy”.
The “Un-Break My Heart” singer, who is engaged to Cash Money Records boss Birdman, spoke to reporters at the premiere of film “The Forgiven,” which stars Forest Whitaker and Eric Bana, to which she has contributed music to the soundtrack.
Speaking to reporters on the red carpet at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles on Wednesday, the 50-year-old singer shared she’s making plans for her big day, and already has an idea for the type of wedding dress she’s looking for.
“The cake is important… and the dress,” Toni smiled in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I’m particular about the dress. I have to find something that’s appropriate but sexy at the same time.”
It will be the second marriage for Toni, who began dating Birdman, real name Bryan Christopher Williams, almost two years ago.
She was previously wed to musician Keri Lewis for 12 years and wore a $15,000 princess-style gown with a tight bodice for her 1998 wedding.
The couple who share two sons – Denim, 16, and Diezel, 14 – divorced in 2013.
Birdman presented the Grammy award-winning singer with a huge canary yellow diamond which she first showed off at the Soul Train Awards last November.
And she explained that their love grew from a long-time friendship.
“He and I have been friends for a really long time, for like 17 years and it just grew from friendship to more than that,” Toni smiled. “So you gotta keep your friends close. You never know what can happen.”
The couple confirmed their engagement last month when she posted a sneak peek promo for her reality show, “Braxton Family Values,” in which she was seen revealing the happy news to her sisters.
