(AllHipHop News) Chris Brown has been tied to a Los Angeles’ Bloods Gang set in the media, and apparently his family is concerned that affiliation may be hurting the singer’s career and endangering his life. According to TMZ, Brown’s mother and girlfriend Karrueche Tran have asked his therapist to speak with Chris about his connection to the Bloods.

In July, news reports began circulating that Brown actually received a co-sign from Compton’s Fruit Town Piru Bloods. The “New Flame” performer was also hosting the party where Bloods affiliate Suge Knight was shot.
There are conflicting reports about whether the Knight shooting was gang related. Early rumors suggested Brown was the real target, but police have stated that the shooter was aiming for Suge.

Brown recently released his sixth studio album X. The LP opened at #2 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 146,000 copies – his best opening sales week since 2011’s F.A.M.E.
