Sean "P. Diddy" Combs’ annual "White Party" will distinguish itself from other events this year, by presenting attendees with a viewing of a copy of the United States’ original Declaration of Independence. The copy Combs will show off is owned by legendary television producer Norman Lear, responsible for such hits as "All In The Family," "Maude," "Sanford & Son," "One Day At A Time" and others. Lear tours the country with the document, which was signed in 1776, after the United States’ Revolutionary War with England. And the inclusion of the document at his event seems to be a good fit. Combs recently expressed his desire to see United States President George W. Bush ousted in the upcoming elections, for someone who was more concerned with the needs of the people. "There are a lot of lies in politics, a lot of deception," Combs told CNN in a March interview. "I am more interesting in being a revolutionary-exposing the liars. Being an activist. I think that it’s important. I try to be role model by being real and being honest." Combs’ showing of the document is part of Sony PlayStation 2’s Independence day weekend celebration, taking place at the PlayStation2 Estate in Bridgehampton, New York. Jay-Z will host an event for his S.Carter sneaker collection, while Paris Hilton will celebrate the launch of her label, Heiress Records.
