(AllHipHop News) Urban legend Freeway Rick Ross landed a new deal to bring his life to the small screen.

Randall Emmett (“Power”) and George Furla (“Lone Survivor”) are executive producing a new TV series based on the book, “Freeway Rick Ross: The Untold Autobiography.”

The new drama will center around Freeway’s colorful life, as a cocaine kingpin in the 1980s, when he made over $900 million dollars as the leader of a nationwide cocaine ring.

The series will also cover Freeway Rick Ross’ time spent in prison for cocaine dealing, his surreal involvement in the Iran-Contra scandal and his eventual redemption as a community activist.

“It is time to tell the real. Everybody wants to try to tell the story, but they can’t do it correctly without me,” Freeway Rick Ross told AllHipHop.com. “Emmett Furla did a great job with ‘Power,’ and this can be just as explosive and real with my input.”

Freeway Ricky will serve as a producer of the TV series, along with Neil Harrington, Zachery Ty Bryan, and Antonio Moore.

“This is a story that needs to be done right, not only for LA but for black families that were caught in the effects from addicts to prisoners,” Antonio Moore told AllHipHop.com. “I grew up in LA, and the city deserves to know, as well as the nation about everything from the Crips to Reagan’s connection to crack cocaine’s rise. We want to put the truth on the screen and let the viewer know what really happened.”

Through their company, Emmett/Furla, Randall Emmett and George Furla have produced movies and TV shows like “Shottas,” “Home of The Brave,” “Rambo,” “Escape Plan,” “Thick As Thieves” and hundreds of other titles.
