(AllHipHop News) The criminal defense attorney representing Marion “Suge” Knight has contacted AllHipHop.com to shoot down news that he’s cosigned a new theory involving the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.
Last week, the directors of the film “Tupac Assassination III: Battle for Compton” issued a statement to various media outlets, claiming the film’s producers had landed a major exclusive from Suge’s criminal attorney Thaddeus Culpepper.

Suge’s attorney is blasting claims by documentary’s directors Richard “RJ” Bond and Michael Douglas Carlin, who claimed that Culpepper co-signed a theory that Suge was the victim of an ongoing conspiracy, aimed at assassinating the former head of Death Row Records.
RJ Bond claims to have information proving that Death Row’s former head of security, Reggie Wright Jr., and had ordered Knight’s shooting on September 7, 1996, suggesting Pac was
collateral damage in the first of many failed attempts to kill Suge.
But Suge’s Thaddeus Culpepper has officially blasted the latest reports as fake news.
“As counsel for Mr. Knight, my duty is to represent and assist him in his present cases,” Thaddeus Culpepper told AllHipHop.com. “I have never made any statements regarding Tupac Shakur, nor have I made any statements on my client’s behalf regarding Mr. Shakur, written or otherwise. Articles relying on this unattributed press release are without merit.”
During an interview with AllHipHop.com in 2007, Reggie Wright Jr. himself addressed allegations that were asserted RJ Bonds’ other film “Tupac Assassination II: Conspiracy or Revenge.”
In that documentary, RJ Bond also advanced the argument that Reggie Wright Jr. was the mastermind behind the September 7 shooting on the strip in Las Vegas.
However, Reggie Wright told AllHipHop.com if there had been a conspiracy to kill Tupac, the Las Vegas strip would not have been the first choice to execute the rapper.
“That’s not true, that’s ludicrous,” Reggie Wright Jr. told AllHipHop.com in a previous interview addressing whether or not he was involved with Tupac’s murder.
“Then we going to say we got him but we going to graze Suge in the head; what type of sense that make? We could have had Tupac meet us in the middle of the Mojave Desert if we wanted to but we going to conspire to have him shot on a Las Vegas strip right after he gets into a fight? That’s crazy,” Reggie Wright Jr. said at the time.
Meanwhile, the real-life drama’s central character, Suge Knight, continues to roll on, as he faces an upcoming trial for a variety of charges that include murder.
