EXCLUSIVE: Zaytoven Talks Creating ‘Beast Mode 2’ & ‘Beast Mode 3’ Mixtapes With Future

THE ATL-BASED PRODUCER CHATS WITH AHH ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF MORE HEAT COMING FROM THE DUO

(AllHipHop News) Future’s run as one of the hottest stars of 2015 began in January when the Atlanta native teamed with Trap music production pioneer Zaytoven for the 9-track collection called Beast Mode. The mixtape became part of a series of projects – along with Monster, 56 Nights, and DS2 – that cemented Future’s place among the top tier artists in rap music at the moment.

Future has already announced he is likely to drop a second version of Monster. But does that mean the Freebandz leader could reconnect with Zaytoven for a sequel to Beast Mode as well? AllHipHop.com spoke with Zay for an exclusive interview, and the Grammy winning producer addressed the possibility of a continuation in the Beast Mode brand.

“When we did Beast Mode, we had Beast Mode 2 and 3 ready. We did so many good songs that could have been on Beast Mode. So I think it’s all about timing for when it will come out again. It’s definitely going to be needed. The fans definitely want it,” says Zaytoven.

The producer also spoke about how that musical union played a part in Future recapturing his core fans disappointed by 2014’s Honest album. Simultaneously, F. Hendrix was also able to expand his reach to a greater audience with his “4-peat” of projects.

“When guys come to me, they come to me like, ‘I’m ready to take over the streets,'” Zaytoven states. “So when Future came to me, I felt like he said, ‘You know what? I’m gonna go back hard. I’m gonna go back to ground zero and take over the streets.’ That’s exactly what he did. If you listen to his album, he said the Beast Mode project was the project that got his feet ten toes down.”

Zay adds, “They were saying he fell off and he ain’t got it no more. So Monster sparked him up to get him back on. Beast Mode really sealed the deal. Everything was uphill after that.”
