(AllHipHop News) Rapper French Montana is celebrating the rapid success of a Ugandan healthcare center he has been helping to support for the past year.

The hip-hop star traveled to the East African country in March 2017 to film the music video for his song Unforgettable.

while he was there, he paid a visit to the Suubi Health Center in Lubanda Village to witness first-hand how funds raised for the non-profit Mama Hope Foundation were used.

The visit inspired French, whose family struggled financially during his childhood in Morocco, to pledge his support to the charity, and he donated $100,000 to expand its medical services to those in need.

At the time, organization officials had been serving 56,000 locals, but with French’s financial help, they now provide healthcare to over 300,000 citizens.

French took to Instagram to mark the one-year anniversary of his visit, and applaud the continuing success of the facility.

“Happy one year anniversary to my family in Uganda,” he wrote. “can’t believe we got so much done in one year !! Thank u for the opportunity.”

The news emerges seven months after French became a brand ambassador for his pal Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Ciroc vodka, with profits from his namesake French Vanilla, flavored liquor benefiting the Mama Hope Foundation.
