(AllHipHop News) General Steele of Smif N Wessun will celebrate Black History Month with a new album filled with political commentary on the state of America and the world.

The rapper will release the second installment of his Amerikkka’s Nightmare series with the 12-track album Children of War

The album features guest appearances by artists like Dead Prez, Louie Skaggs, Hasaan Salaam, Akir, Hicoup, Flood Diesel and others.

“America the beautiful has an ugly past,” General Steele told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “It is the people who live in this great country who have struggled relentlessly to establish this country under the basic common human & constitutional rights that all people should have. These rights have at times been suppressed and our vision of a ‘land of the free’ has been compromised. Some people are complacent with the state of our nation, others are speaking out.”

Children of War will be accompanied with a video expose documentary titled We The People, which features various community activists and artists expressing their views on the United States’ present condition.

Children of War is due in stores on February 23 via Bucktown USA/Duck Down Music.
