Hannibal Buress Disses Ja Rule To Launch His Own Festival

Funnyman Hannibal Buress is launching his own festival, and he dissed Ja Rule to do it.

(AllHipHop News) Hannibal Buress got jokes… for rapper Ja Rule.

Comedian Hannibal threw Ja Rule under the bus to launch his inaugural comedy/music festival.

Hannibal’s new Isola Fest is a three-day event being headlined by the Chicago comedian.

Guests like T-Pain, Flying Lotus and others will head to Isola in rural Mississippi, which has a population of 800 people.

Hannibal, who recently denied claims he was performing as MF Doom’s stand-in with Flying Lotus, had some fun at Ja Rule’s expense while promoting the Isola Fest.

The three-day event combines comedy, music, games, food and more under one roof at the “Playas Palace.”

Hannibal said the event may sound sketchy, but would be nothing like Ja’s failed Fyre Festival in The Bahamas.

“Isola is short for Isolation. I know this sounds like some Fyre Festival part 2 type situation but we have things pretty much in order, “Hannibal Buress explained. “Our sandwiches are just as equally trash as theirs though. Some things you just can’t control. This is the town my mother’s side of the family is from. My cousin owns a venue called Playaz Palace so I’m getting a deal on these nights.”

The full lineup for Hannibal Buress has Isola Fest includes T-Pain, Flying Lotus, Open Mike Eagle, Eryn Allen Kane, Serengeti, and Khris Royal.

Isola Fest takes place from December 13th – 15th. Tickets are available for purchase now and range from $30 – $100.
