Jay-Z Challenges Nas To Battle - AllHipHop

Jay-Z Challenges Nas To Battle

Yesterday (August 6th), Jay-Z appeared on Angie Martinez’s radio show on Hot 97 in NY and challenged Nas to a battle on Pay Per View television. Jay-Z, who just came back from vacationing in France, said that each would put up $1 million, both artists would have a separate concert and then kick 3 freestyles. While Jay wasn’t clear how a winner would be picked, he did say that all proceeds would go to charity. Various promoters, including Don King have expressed interest in promoting the show. At press time Nas had no response. In related news, Nas is preparing to release The Lost Tapes. The album is comprised outtakes that were recorded while Nas was recording his classic albums I Am and Stillmatic. The Lost Tapes hit stores September 3rd.
