Kanye West Reaches Settlement With Photographer He Assaulted

YEEZY WON’T HAVE TO DO ANY TIME FOR ASSAULTING A PAPARAZZO BACK IN 2013

Kanye West and the paparazzo he assaulted in 2013 have reached a settlement in their lawsuit, CNN reports. The photographer, Daniel Ramos, had filed a civil suit against West after the two had a scuffle at Los Angeles International Airport when Yeezy tried to take his camera.

The “All Day” rapper pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of battery and was sentenced to to two years probation, community service and anger management classes.

“We believe that this case sent an important message,” said Ramos’ lawyer Gloria Allred. “Celebrities are not above the law, and they have no right to physically attack someone simply because they were asked a question.”

The case was set to head to trial next week but Allred filed for a dismissal “because the case was settled to the satisfaction of the parties.” The details of the settlement were not disclosed.

The rough exchange was caught on video when the paparazzi were hassling Ye’ as he was leaving the airport. He repeatedly asked the photogs not to talk to him saying “I told you, don’t talk to me, right. You’re trying to get me in trouble so I step off and have to pay you like $250,000.” That didn’t discourage them, including Ramos, and they continued to follow him and Yeezus lost his cool and tried to wrestle the camera away from Ramos.
