Kim Osorio has been named Editor In Chief of the Source magazine, marking the first time since the magazine was founded in 1988, that a female has held the reigns at the long running hip-hop magazine. "I am honored that the Source has recognized my hard work and dedication over the years," Osorio told AllHipHop.com. Under Osorio’s direction, sales of the Source are on a steady upstream. The December issue of the magazine features four separate covers. Two different covers of LL Cool J and two different covers of Fabolous grace the December issue, which is on newsstands now. "Being a woman in hip-hop is a very important part of who I am," Osorio continued. "It’s just as important as my years of experience and my love for this culture—ALL of which enables me to lead this magazine."
