Latifah Sentenced For DUI Charges

Queen Latifah pleaded no contest yesterday (Tuesday Jan.14) to misdemeanor reckless driving charges in order to avoid trial for DUI charges. The DUI charges stem from an incident in Hollywood, CA where the rapper was pulled over while intoxicated. She subsequently failed the field sobriety test and was arrested without incident. Latifah was sentenced to three years probation, ordered to participate in a 12-hour education class and must pay $300 in fines. Latifah was not present at the sentencing, her lawyer entered the plea in her absence.
