According to Deadline, The Michel’le Story will star Rhyon Nicole Brown (Lincoln Heights) as the “No More Lies” performer. R. Marcos Taylor once again picks up the role of Michel’le’s ex-husband Suge Knight.
Taylor was cast as Knight in the 2015 N.W.A. biographical film Straight Outta Compton. Fellow Death Row co-founder and Michel’le ex-lover Dr. Dre will be portrayed by Curtis Hamilton.
The Michel’le Story joins a series of upcoming movies based on the lives of 1990’s Hip Hop stars. Films about Tha Dogg Pound, Master P, Cash Money, and 2Pac are in the works as well.
Principle photography for Lifetime’s The Michel’le Story is scheduled to begin in June.
