(AllHipHop News) Hip-hop star Method Man is adding TV host to his resume by fronting a new U.S. rap battle series.

The Wu-Tang Clan MC and actor will join model Hailey Baldwin to co-present “Drop The Mic,” a series co-created by British funnyman and U.S. talk show host James Corden.

Each episode of “Drop The Mic” will pit four celebrities against one another to spit the best rhymes, with the winner decided with help from the audience.

The show will begin airing on America’s TBS network on May 2.

“Drop the Mic is a funny, authentic, high-energy series that brings together hip-hop, comedy and pop culture in a way we’ve never seen before,” says TBS executive Michael Bloom. “Method, Hailey, James, Ben (Winston, co-creator) and their team will make sure our celebrity competitors bring their ‘A’ game to the stage.”

It’s another spin-off of a popular segment on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” which also spawned the upcoming “Carpool Karaoke” show for Apple Music.

John Legend will serve as one of the “Carpool Karaoke” celebrity hosts, while Alicia Keys and “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson will join him to sing in the car, and fellow co-host Seth MacFarlane will be joined by Ariana Grande and Will Smith for a musical ride-along.
