(AllHipHop News) Nas spoke with BET about the new Time Is Illmatic documentary. God’s Son was also asked about other topics related to Hip Hop including the criticism of Iggy Azalea. Nas expressed he feels the Australian born rapper will overcome the hate thrown her way.

“Hip Hop is a rough place, and you’re gonna get punched around no matter who you are. I think Iggy Azalea knows that. She’s a really intelligent woman. She loves Hip Hop,” said Nas. “Hip Hop, you need tough skin no matter what color your skin is. The most important thing is having tough skin. I think she’ll be alright.”
Esco’s comments about the “Black Widow” performer come at the same time T.I. defended Iggy against critics. The Hustle Gang boss suggested fans should judge Azalea based on the art she creates and not where she is from or looks like.
