Pusha T Lends Vocals To Theme Song For HBO’S “Succession”

Can push is featured on a new song called “Puppets” which is featured in season 2 of HBO’s show “Succession.”

(AllHipHop News) Pusha-T is a GOAT in the rap game, and now he’s lending his vocals to the theme song to an HBO show titled Succession.

The HBO drama centers around a family who owns a fictional company called Waystar Royco, one of the nation’s biggest entertainment conglomerates.

The theme song was created by composer Nicholas Britell — who recently won an Emmy for his work on the show.

The new song “Puppets” will be released via Def Jam with the Daytona rapper adding his lyrical expertise to fully encapsulate the complexity of the show’s characters and plot.

Although Britell received an Emmy for the show’s original title theme, requests from fans to put a rapper on the opening song did not go unnoticed.

“The greatest rappers are true virtuosos. If I was going to collaborate with anyone on this track, Pusha T was the dream choice,” Britell said. “His lyrical instincts are phenomenal, and his artistry is beyond compare.”

Coincidentally, Britell didn’t even know Pusha T watched the show.

“It was an honor to be asked to put a verse on the iconic theme to Succession. It’s awesome that one of the hardest beats of the past couple years came from a TV score. I was excited at the opportunity to put my spin on it when they approached me with the idea. I have so much respect for Nick and his teams’ attention to detail and the pride they take in their work,” The Virginia spitter stated.
