(AllHipHop News) Chicago rapper Vic Mensa spent a few hours behind bars last week, after being arrested for weapons charges in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ.com, the whole debacle started when Vic was pulled over by policemen in Beverly Hills, where he has had previous encounters with the local authorities.
The cops pulled the rapper over for allegedly running a stop sign, in addition to having illegal, dark tinted windows.
When police approached his vehicle, Vic Mensa immediately notified police he had a gun in the car, and claimed he had a concealed carry permit for the weapon.
But when the police check the permit a little closer, they realized it was issued for another state.
The rapper was promptly charged with one count of one felony count of carrying a concealed weapon and eventually released on $35,000 bail.
