(AllHipHop News) SoundCloud announced the launch of a new home experience which is designed to make it easier to discover creator’s latest content on the platform. Users now have access to curated recommendations, personalized playlists, and exclusive culture-focused audio.
One of the featured playlists is Hip Hop Supreme. The collection includes the hottest rap tracks on SoundCloud. There is also the In the Mix weekly playlist that presents DJ mixes.
Other SoundCloud home experience options include personalized playlists The Upload, More Of What You Like, and Artists You Should Know. Periodically, emerging acts will be highlighted on playlists like SoundCloud Next Wave, The SoundCloud Playback, and more.
Besides the New & Hot charts, Top 50 charts will also track popular uploads from around the world. In addition, American listeners can keep track of the platform’s latest album releases with Fresh Pressed.
On Wednesday, SoundCloud celebrated the introduction of the app’s new home experience as well as “What’s New, Now And Next In Music” at Brooklyn’s Good Room. Grammy-nominated artist Lil Uzi Vert and “2018 SoundCloud Artist To Watch” Lil Wop performed at the event.
Uzi had a huge year on SoundCloud. The Philadelphia rhymer’s Luv Is Rage 2 was named SoundCloud’s Top Album of 2017 and his “XO Tour Llif3” single earned the honor of being the streamer’s Top Rap/Hip-Hop Track.
