Stormzy Donates Money To Help British Student Attend Harvard University

OXFORD STUDENT FIONA ASIEDU IS ALSO SEEKING DONATIONS TO HELP OTHER STUDENTS GO TO COLLEGE

(AllHipHop News) English Grime artist Stormzy is helping an Oxford University student cross the pond to attend an Ivy League school in the States.

According to the BBC, Stormzy donated £9,000 ($11,588) to Fiona Asiedu’s crowdfunding campaign which was raising money for Harvard University tuition fees and other costs.

Asiedu was able to reach her goal of £12,000 ($15,452) goal in just 24 hours, thanks to the Gang Signs & Prayer album creator.

Stormzy’s camp confirmed the donation was made under his real name before switching it to an anonymous contribution.

Asiedu is seeking to earn a Masters in Human Development and Psychology at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Since the money goal was reached so quickly, Asiedu is extending her #SW2Harvard campaign.

Any funds raised over £14,000 will be used to create a new foundation to support black British students from low-income families attending Oxford or Harvard.
