Stretch Armstrong Shows Rare Hip-Hop Flyers From The 80’s And 90’s In New Book “No Sleep”

TAKE A LOOK AT THE HISTORY OF HIP-HOP FLYERS

(AllHipHop News) Stretch Armstrong, one of New York’s most revered and respected DJs, is planning a graphic book detailing the 1980’s and 90’s Hip-Hop scene.

Stretch, born Adrian Bartos, will drop “No Sleep,” with Hip-Hop historian Evan Auerbach.

“No Sleep” is a 224-page book billed as a “visual history of the halcyon days of New York City club life as told through flyer art.”

Flyers were an essential part of the Hip-Hop scene for over two decades, as rappers, DJ’s and promoters feverishly worked to pass out as many as they could to market their shows.

Stretch, who co-created the “Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito Show” on WKCR 89.9, authored the book with Evan Auerbach, a popular Hip-Hop historian on the internet with his site UpNorthTrips.

“No Sleep” is due in stores on December 6, 2016.
