(AllHipHop News) Rappers Talib Kweli and M1 of dead prize will take part in a panel discussion hosted by Imagenation and Dream Hampton, the author/director of a new documentary titled Black August: A Hip-Hop Benefit Concert.  

Talib and M1 will join Dream Hampton, professor Marc Lamont Hill, Black August co-founder Lumumba Bandele and former political prisoner Dhoruba Bin Wahaad during a discussion at the Walter Reade Theatre in New York, on August 26th. The evening will start with a food and wine reception, followed by a performance by Blitz the Ambassador. Then, producers will premiere the highly anticipated documentary, Black August: A Hip-Hop Benefit Concert, which is produced annually by the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, a non-profit organization.  The movie, which took over 10 years to create, features exclusive interviews with Assata Shakur, former Black Panther Party member Kathleen Cleaver, Mutulu Shakur and others. Tickets to the event cost $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
