(AllHipHop News) Controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine’s sexual assault case is already hurting his business.

The rapper was booked to play a major show at the Easton’s One Centre Square on February 9, however, organizers have nixed the show as Tekashi awaits sentencing for the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.

“Subsequent to booking the musical artist Tekashi 6ix9ine, we became aware of details regarding a criminal proceeding involving the artist,” a representative for Easton’s One Centre Square said in a statement.

This information led to the cancellation of the date, which was supposed to be Tekashi’s second engagement on his first headlining tour.

Organizers for the concert said they were firm in their decision, even though the “Gummo” rapper is due to play a number of major venues over the next month.

“Despite the fact that artist is scheduled to perform at a number of reputable venues including a college facility, the University of South Florida’s Sun Dome later this month, we have decided to cancel the concert,” representatives for Easton’s One Centre Square said.

The Brooklyn rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, pleaded guilty to charges of sexual misconduct with a child, relating to the assault of a 13-year-old girl during a party.

Police charged Tekashi after they found three videos of the nude teenagers sitting on his lap.

In published interviews, Tekashi has stated he thought the girl was much older.

“She asked me how old I was, and I told her I was 18, and I assumed she was older, the way she was asking made me think she was older,” Tekashi claimed.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was originally supposed to be punished for the charge on earlier this week, but the sentencing date was pushed back until April 10.

“As we learned more about the unsettling incident in question, we no longer found the artist to be a suitable performer for our venue and we obviously do not condone his behavior in the incident,” the rep for Easton’s One Centre Square continued. “We refrained from earlier comment on the issue until we formalized the cancellation with the artist’s representatives.”

If Tekashi 6ix9ine is convicted of the three counts of sexual misconduct with a child., he is facing anywhere from one to three years in prison.
