The D.O.C. Discusses Dr. Dre's Newest Protégé Justin Mohrle

THE TEXAS RAPPER COULD BE UP NEXT FROM THE HOUSE THAT DRE BUILT

(AllHipHop News) For two decades, producing legend Dr. Dre has helped build the careers of rap superstars. Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game, and Kendrick Lamar have all been under the tutelage of the N.W.A member. Dre has now recruited another young rapper as the next potential breakout artist from his musical family tree – Justin Mohrle aka JT.

The 23-year-old Texan first connected with Dre through N.W.A. affiliate The D.O.C. Since then Mohrle has been putting in work at California’s Record One studio. D.O.C. spoke with Dmagzine about the work JT is doing with Dr. Dre.

“JT and I worked on a couple songs; Dre fell in love with the songs; Dre stole the songs from the kid, because he wanted to put them out as a unit,” The D.O.C. told the publication. “That’s the way this house is rolling. We’re all putting our energy toward building another classic for The Good Doctor. Then he’s going to take his time to help us build a classic for the youngster.”

While Mohrle was not able to discuss specific details of his current recordings, he has collaborated with BJ the Chicago Kid, King Mez, and No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani. JT does realize that being associated with one of Hip Hop’s most accomplished musical minds could change his life in an instant.

“With the situation I’m in, Dre could decide to drop a track tomorrow, and then I might not be able to ever go to the mall again like this. Just us. By myself,” expressed Mohrle to Dmag.
