The Notorious B.I.G. Will Be Honored With The Founders Award At ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards

BIGGIE’S FAMILY WILL BE ON HAND TO ACCEPT THE AWARD

(AllHipHop News) Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace is set to be honored by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

The late Hip Hop star will receive the Founders Award at the 30th annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.

“Biggie was a legend in his own time and his legacy lives on through his music,” stated ASCAP President Paul Williams. “Like all songwriters, he was a master storyteller, but it was the realism in his rhymes that captured so many.”

Ms. Voletta Wallace, Faith Evans, Biggie’s children, and his former managers and estate consultant Wayne Barrow and Mark Pitts will be on hand to accept on behalf of the icon.

Awards for ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Songwriter of the Year, Publisher of the Year, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Song, Top Rap Song, and Top Gospel Song will also be presented at the event.

Several award-winning artists will perform at the ceremony.

The Rhythm & Soul Music Awards will take place on June 22 at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles.
