Drake And His Dad: Who Is Telling The Truth?

(AllHipHop Rumors) This isn’t even new but it is going viral again, nevertheless. Drake’s dad has opened his mouth again to counter some of the things that his son has rapped about. BUT, it goes a bit farther than that this time. This time….Drake is hurt.

Drake said, “Every bar I spit is the truth” and that has to be like a gut punch to Pops Dennis Graham.

“Woke up today so hurt man. My father will say anything to anyone that’s willing to listen to him. It’s sad when family gets like this but what can we really do that’s the people we are stuck with … every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept.”

That “some people” is his dad. There is where it all started. Dennis Graham said:

“I have always been with Drake. I said, ‘Drake why are you saying all of this different stuff about me, man? This is not cool.’ And he goes ‘Dad, it sells records.'”

Well, the truth is…they both could be telling the truth. Drakes point of view as a CHILD/SON could be very different from his dad. His parents were together like that and his dad is American, from the South. His mom is Canadian and from the Far North. I am thinking that his dad, from his point of view, was as present as he could be and his mom was there all the time.

Like I said, this ain’t really new. Dennis said this back in the day:

When asked if he knew Drake would rap about their relationship, his dad replied:

“No. Drake…we had a conversation about that also. I said ‘Drake, you gotta stop this man you know that never happened.’ He goes, ‘Dad, listen man. Just go with the flow. This s### sells records’.”
