Twnty Two Dropping Two New Hats This Summer
From the time when Hip-Hop fans first saw the ASAP Mob’s hats to the 40 oz Van hats adorned with hashtags and other emblems, the message on snapbacks over the past few years has grown from a trend to a phenomenon in just a short period of time. Enter Twnty Two, a lifestyle brand specializing in limited edition headwear that has been worn by a host of stars. Co-owned by music journalist Datwon Thomas, the brand has been spotted on Carmelo Anthony, Maino and Uncle Murda just to name a few and continues to gain notoriety in the New York region. In light of their success and just in time for a summer kick off at Miami’s infamous Memorial Day weekend, Twnty Two is releasing the “MIA All Day” hat, which is dropping Memorial Day Weekend. The brand wisl also releasing the “Derek Jeter Collectors Edition” dropping in June on the Yankee legend’s birthday. The Derek Jeter hat will be a blue and white snapback that has a specially sewn in patch honoring the retiring Yankee legend in style. The new exclusive hats are limited edition as only 100 of each hat will be made. The brand made a major splash in their hometown of NYC when they released two signature hats, the ”All NY” hat in honor of the Empire State, and the “BK All Day” hat, that was worn by Maino, Uncle Murda and Ed Lover. The “All NY” hat, which is currently sold out, has been spotted on NY Knicks All-Star, Carmelo Anthony who has worn both the red and the black versions. The “All NY” hat is adorned with a leather brim, gold logo, strap detail and green under brim. Black Scale & Surf Club Music Team Up With New Era for Hat Line
The clothing brand, Black Scale, has teamed up with the Surf Club music group to release New Era hats and jackets. No release details have been announced yet, but Surf Club member Chase N. Cashe made known on Twitter that, “SFCB x Black Scale hats will be out real soon & the jacket too ya dig.” Peep the pictures below and stay tuned for the release dates.
