Lady Gaga canceled the tour the next day,” stated Kanye. “You know what night I’m talking about, when I just said what everybody else was thinking.” The Chicago rhymer caught tremendous backlash for interrupting Swift during her acceptance speech at the VMAs. Kanye used that moment to tell the world Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” deserved to win the award for Best Female Video, not Swift’s “You Belong with Me.” “So if I get in trouble for saying the truth, what’s being said the rest of the time?” added Ye. “I had to fight every day for the rest of my life with the whole world turned against me for saying out loud what everyone else felt.
