Scoop Deville Talks New Project And Busta Rhymes/Eminem Collabo
The last time we hooked up with Producer Scoop Deville he was just coming off of his work on Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, in which he produced the Kendrick & Drake smash hit “Poetic Justice” and “The Recipe” featuring Dr. Dre. Since then, the son of Kid Frost has been busy putting together a project called Scoopaloops, where he takes notable past songs of various genre’s and remixes them with an original new sound. Scoop has also been busy in the studio working with drummer/musician Travis Barker for an upcoming Famous Stars & Straps project in the works. And then of course there’s that new single tentatively called “Calm Down” that he produced for Busta Rhymes featuring Eminem, which rumor has it is lyrical spazz-fest by the two legends. AllHipHop.com caught up with Scoop Deville as he stopped by the infamous Amoeba Records in Hollywood over the weekend where he played cuts from Scoopaloops for the store shoppers. Afterwards, he took the time to discuss the new remix project and of course the new upcoming Busta Buss and Slim Shady single! Watch below. LL Cool J’s New Album “Authentic” Streaming Now On Amazon, Snoop Lion OK With “Accidental Racist”
(AllHipHop News) Want that LL Cool J album Authentic before its April 30th release date? Amazon is currently streaming the album in its entirety. The 14th studio album for the legendary rapper includes a multitude of artists from varying genres. Public Enemy head MC Chuck D, Eddie Van Halen, Seal and Travis Barker are a few of the artists. The diversity of this album was a pre-planned intention according to LL via press release: “With AUTHENTIC, I wanted to work on a project that showed my genuine love for all music.” “Collaborating with these myriad of artists was an amazing experience and this album got me back to my roots and is for the fans across all generations who love real music too.” The album includes the controversial single “Accidental Racist” featuring Country Music crooner Brad Paisley. While the polarizing song has drawn the ire of many, it has attained support from one of high profile guests on Authentic, Snoop Lion. In a recent interview with Wall Street Journal‘s daughter site Speakeasy the Reincarnated MC said he did not hear the controversy in the song. Lion stated fans should simply appreciate the music or not: “Just shut the f— up and enjoy the music or don’t. There’s too much put on what we do. It’s just like a movie, or art, or expression, it’s not mean to create so much controversy. Be glad that LL Cool J and Brad Paisley made a record together, that two people from different genres were able to make a record together. Look at the positivity of it all.” [ALSO READ: Snoop Lion and MTV Team Up In Gun Control Initiative]

Chino XL Announces 35-Track Release "RICANstruction: The Black Rosary"
(AllHipHop News) Rapper Chino XL has announced the release date for RICANstruction: The Black Rosary, his first album in over six years. RICANstruction will be a double-CD release that is being released by Viper Records, the label that is owned by Immortal Technique. Immortal Technique is one of the guests who appear on the 35-track effort, while rappers/artists like Travis Barker, Bun B, Tech N9ne and B Real round out the album. According to Chino, RICANstruction is his most introspective work-to-date, delving into serious matters like the abuse he suffered as a child, failed relationships, suicide and his daughter’s battle with cancer. “It’s a complete unbottling of a lot of stuff, things that I probably had suppressed,” Chino XL explained. “The human psyche has the ability and the power to do that in order to keep it functioning. I felt that it was time to let most of it out so I could move on and get past some of those issues. Whilst on tour last year, I realized how many people I connected to when I expressed a lot of those more painful, emotional songs. It seemed like a lot of folks really needed to hear them. I can learn from that to help them relate so they can also get past what they had going on. I realized that’s part of my journey.” Chino hopes the main focus of RICANstruction will be what he has become famous for – complex lyrics and rhyme patterns. “I believe that it’s my contribution to the art form, to art in general and to music,” Chino XL continued. “I feel like if you’re not going to try to raise the bar, then what are you doing it for? I try to do it because I feel like that’s part of my blessing and to share my blessing, I have to propel the art form and push the boundaries of language.” RICANstruction: The Black Rosary is due in stores on September 25.
