Uncle Luke Donating Thousands of Condoms to Miami Urban Youth
(AllHipHop News) In his heyday, Uncle Luke was the ringleader of 2 Live Crew, one of Hip-Hop’s most raunchy and notoriously sexual groups to ever hit the stage. Luke and 2 Live’s music was so raucous, that the Supreme Court almost took the Miami group’s booty shaking music to trial in one of America’s most important court rulings surrounding our freedom of speech and the censorship of music deemed obscene by some in the public. Despite his explicit past, today Uncle Luke is a community activist and outspoken member for urban communities in Miami and Dade County, also writing a column for the Miami Herald called, “Luke’s Gospel.” AllHipHop has learned that Luke is continuing in his role of community activism by signing an endorsement deal with b Condoms in an effort to support safe sex in underserved communities. “I am very excited to partner with b condoms to advocate safe sex,” Uncle Luke said. “Teen pregnancy and STDs are mostly impacting African-Americans and Latinos and I want to help make a difference. It’s time for everyone to go Platinum.” In teaming up with Luke, b condoms seeks to counteract the disproportionate impact that teen pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections are having on underserved communities. As part of the effort, Uncle Luke will donate 5,000 Platinum XL b condoms to Miami, FL area non-profit organizations this summer. Luke will also donate 1,000 Platinum XL b condoms through “Let the Runway Meet the Cause” to Empower U during the Florida Fashion Designers Expo Florida fashion week in Miami, FL. “b condoms is excited to partner with Mr. Campbell on this effort to promote safe sex in underserved communities,” Reginald Thornton, Director of Marketing for b condoms explained. “Mr. Campbell is an iconic figure for his contributions to music, sports and at-risk youth and we believe this partnership provides a unique opportunity to extend his impact to community health.” For more information about b condoms, go to www.bcondoms.com.

Lil Wayne Bites Back At Pitbull’s Bark
(AllHipHop News) Lil Wayne may be realizing that the Miami Heat supersede him in the pecking order of Miami celebrity. After Miami’s honorary President, Pitbull released a scathing diss record titled “Welcome to Dade County,” directed at the Young Money boss, Weezy took to Twitter to voice his shock and dissatisfaction: Dam pit bull bro I thought u was kool. — Lil Wayne WEEZY F (@LilTunechi) February 27, 201 While Pitbull never mentions Lil Wayne’s name directly in the inflammatory record, he makes it clear that disrespecting the Miami Heat while residing in Miami is grounds for a verbal attack: You talk Miami, if you talkin’ Heat moral of the story: don’t s### where you eat. Lil Wayne is not only receiving flack from past collaborators but other Miami music legends. Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell of 2 Live Crew fame responded to Lil Wayne’s disparaging remarks to the Miami Heat with an Uncle Luke’s Gospel blog post that called for Rick Ross to speak some sense into the 30-year-old skateboarding rap titan claiming Wayne “”treats Miami like his b**ch because people let him.” Back in October of 2011, the former king of raunchy rap took to his personal blog to denounce Lil Wayne and others (DJ Khaled and P. Diddy to be exact) for living in Miami and not giving back to the community. [ALSO READ: Uncle Luke Questions Rick Ross’ Gangster] Not one to bite his tongue, Wayne returned to Miami’s 99 Jamz and claimed he never read Luke’s post and actually has never actually met him. The man who has sold in excess of 12.5 million records in his career also feels it has been an anti-Lil Wayne movement since he first arrived: “Ever since I got out here there were billboards saying ‘Lil Wayne go back home,’ and I never did anything.” [ALSO READ: Pitbull Takes Aim At Lil Wayne? Yup] Lil Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being II album is set to be released on March 26th and plans on releasing his sequel to 2006′ collaborative album Like Father Like Son 2 with Birdman and Tha Carter V in the future.
