Roofing Company Says Drake Refusing To Pay For Construction Materials

(AllHipHop News) Drake is facing legal action, for allegedly stiffing a roofing company. According to a new lawsuit filed against the rap star, he contracted the company to make repairs on his $8 million mansion in Hidden Hills, California. However, the company filed a lien against the rapper’s Los Angeles property over $17,907.99 he allegedly owes for roofing material. It is doubtful the amount is an obstacle for the rapper, who landed on Forbes “Forbes 5” richest list of rappers at #5 with a net worth of about $100 million dollars. In 2016, Drake also purchased over two acres of land in the Bridle Path neighborhood of Toronto for $6.7 million another huge mansion is under construction.

Kanye West Accused Of Ignoring Advice And Stealing Yeezy Designs

(AllHipHop News) Bosses at Kanye West’s clothing company are facing a lawsuit over a camouflage pattern. Bosses at Jordan Outdoor Enterprises claim a representative contacted them and asked to use the Realtree line design for the Yeezy Apparel and Unknwn brands, but when they explained the clothing items would have to be licensed they allegedly copied the pattern and used it for his items without their permission. According to reports, Jordan Outdoor Enterprises executives are now seeking unspecified damages. They have also requested an order to stop West selling the existing merchandise and destroy what is left. Kanye has yet to respond to the lawsuit, but this isn’t the first time he has been hit with legal action over the brand – in November, he was slapped with a breach of contract lawsuit from a clothing agent in Turkey in a payment dispute. Derya Gulseven claimed she was hired in July 2015 to help bosses at the star’s West Brands Fashion LLC find manufacturers in Istanbul to produce items for his popular brand, serving as a “season-by-season sourcing agent” and making sure the goods were imported into the U.S. However, she alleged she was cheated out of the agreed seven percent commission on each total order on more than one occasion, and sued for funds she maintained she was owed.

40 Glocc Goes After Game’s House!

By Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea) (AllHipHop Rumors) 40 Glocc and The Game have beefed back and forth for many years. The tensions reached an all-time high when the two California were videotaped in a physical altercation. Since then their tension has been mostly hot and cold. It’s been cold from The Game’s end, but still burning hot from 40 Glocc’s end. 40 has been able to find laughter in all of The Game’s misunderstandings. The latest clowning moment comes due to The Game owing $7 million from a lawsuit. The $7 million ruling was part of a settlement for a previous sexual assault case. 40 also claims Game has been ducking him over a $216,000 settlement after the two men fought and 40 sued the rapper for battery and won in court. 40 Glocc claims his lawyer called him and informed him he now has a lien on Game’s house. https://www.instagram.com/p/BgO_cvEhr0c/ “QUOTE FROM THE BIBLE: “A FOOL & HIS MONEY WILL ALWAYS PART WAYS,” said 40 Glocc. He continued, “WHEN THAT MONEY RUN OUT & U CAN’T AFFORD TO PAY FOR POLICE/SECURITY PROTECTION NO MORE TO FOLLOW YOU TO YO LOCAL CORNER STORE TO BUY A BOTTLE WATER….. THAT’S YO ASS MISTER POSTMAN…” 40 Glocc is clearly having a good day watching The Game go through tough times. He would further continue his social media caption with a few other opinions. The beef between the two doesn’t seem to be dying down anytime soon and The Game doesn’t seem to be too bothered by it either. https://www.instagram.com/p/BgPSvbRBcKS/?taken-by=40glocczoo

Meek Mill Plans To Use His Voice To Speak Up For The Incarcerated

(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill is planning to campaign for those who are unfairly treated by the justice system upon his release. The rapper is currently serving a two-four year prison sentence for violating his probation relating to a 2008 drug and gun bust, a sentence that has been heavily criticized by the “I’m A Boss” hitmaker’s supporters who include his Roc Nation boss Jay-Z. And in an interview from jail, Meek, real name Robert Rihmeek Williams, has revealed that once he does gain his freedom he plans to become an advocate for others experiencing the same issues. “There’s brothers locked down that did nothing to be here but p### off people like (Judge Genece) Brinkley,” Meek told Rolling Stone magazine from State Correctional Institution Chester in Pennsylvania. “I want to speak on this system and what it does to black people – on both f##king sides of the fence.” In the explosive interview, editors at Rolling Stone piece together in forensic detail the background to his case, including a former police officer’s sworn testimony that Meek’s arresting officer, Reggie Graham, falsely accused him of pointing a gun at police, damning allegations about his sentencing judge, Judge Genece Brinkley, and alleged harassment at the hands of his probation officer Treas Underwood. “Trust me, I’m gonna say something about that. And then, I’m gonna move to Atlanta,” he added. The rapper’s interview comes the day after a rally, “REFORM: Bringing Injustice to Light,” was held at Pennsylvania State University in support of his release, which was attended by Mill’s mother, Roc Nation reps, his lawyer Joe Tacopina, activist Al Sharpton and Penn professors. Meek spoke to the audience in the Irvine auditorium briefly by phone. “I’m just appreciative of all of the support that everyone is bringing to the table,” he told the crowd.

Rihanna Urges Fans To Dump Snapchat; Stock Tanks Again

(AllHipHop News) Rihanna has urged her fans to dump popular multimedia messaging app Snapchat for shaming victims of domestic abuse. Snapchat boss Evan Spiegel and his partners came under fire over the weekend after an ad for a new Would You Rather? game, poking fun at the singer’s 2009 assault at the hands of then-boyfriend Chris Brown, appeared on the platform. Users were asked if they would “rather slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown”. Company bosses quickly removed the ad and apologized, revealing it was published in error. “The advert was reviewed and approved in error, as it violates our advertising guidelines,” a representative told the BBC on Monday. “We immediately removed the ad last weekend, once we became aware. We are sorry that this happened.” But that’s not enough for Rihanna – she wants to bring the company to its knees. Posting a lengthy comment about the drama on Instagram, she explains she is still “trying to figure out what the point was with this mess.” “I’d love to call it ignorance, but I know you ain’t that dumb,” she writes. “You spent money to animate something that would intentionally bring shame to DV (domestic violence) victims and made a joke of it!!! “This isn’t about my personal feelings, cause I don’t have much of them… but all the women, children and men that have been victims of DV in the past and especially the ones who haven’t made it out yet… you let us down! Shame on you.” She closes her missive by urging fans to “Throw the whole app-oligy away.” Snap shares closed down 3.6% today (March 15) and the company is down a total of 13% for the month. Kylie Jenner also took aim at Snap when she criticized the app’s redesign last month, tweeting: “Sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me… ugh this is so sad.” Following Jenner’s tweet, shares in the company fell 6.1 per cent, according to Bloomberg.

This Rap Legend’s Son Previewed New Music Featuring Drake!

By Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea) (AllHipHop Rumors) Lauryn Hill is one of R&B’s most notable figures of the past 20 years. Not only is she known for her work with the Fugees, but her work as a solo artist as well. Hill saw her star power rise as the lead vocalist of the Fugees group alongside Pras and Wyclef Jean. However, it was her critically acclaimed solo album that shot her into superstardom. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill sold over 8 million records in the United States alone. Her debut album would also reign supreme at that year’s Grammy Awards show, earning Hill five awards that evening. After releasing her album Hill began to distance herself from the music business and industry. She basically would go on to become a musical recluse and completely disappear for some time. In recent years, Lauryn Hill has become a fixture in the industry by performing shows. Hill has even decided to perform at a few festivals and align herself with industry peers again. It remains to be seen if she will ever record with any of today’s prominent musicians, but her son has offered a clue. Last night Hill’s son Joshua Omaru Marley, previewed a snippet of a Drake record that he says features his mom. “Drake x Mom…Nobody has this but me,” said Joshua. It isn’t known if the record will ever be released. The clip has since been removed from social media, but it’s nice to see Hill once again working on new music.

6ix9ine Gets Dissed In Houston And Says J. Prince Jr. Is Clout Chasing

By Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea) (AllHipHop Rumors) Rapper 6ix9ine is a heat magnet for trouble and attention. Of course, eyes will constantly be on you when you an up and coming Rap star, but this guy continues to get attention for the wrong reasons. Recently 6ix9ine was in Houston and attempted to attend an event at a local nightclub. To 6ix9ine’s surprise, he wasn’t allowed inside the venue. The rapper gained attention last month before journeying to Los Angeles for NBA All-Star weekend, when he refused to check in with the natives upon arrival. While the conversation was swayed as involving gangsters, 6ix9ine’s refusal to check in with the natives and all the opportunity to prepare for his arrival has caused him countless problems. Similar to the Los Angeles incident, 6ix9ine once again didn’t check in, but this time he appeared at a nightclub where J. Prince Jr. was throwing an event. Being the veterans the Prince family are, 6ix9ine was politely declined admission into the venue. 6ix9ine is now saying J. Prince Jr is chasing clout by publicizing him not being able to get in a club. However, J. Prince Jr. is saying 6ix9ine didn’t check in before his arrival and may be banned from Houston next time if he still refuses to do so. 6ix9ine is new to the music industry and doesn’t follow the proper rules. He doesn’t think he is in the wrong, but you guys watch the clips and let us know what you think. https://www.google.com/sorry/index?continue=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88KVBaPa7RY&q=EgQs6nbMGImNg_kFIhkA8aeDS2dbK1m32Bg_CTa7PjrJuiB4nte9MgFy

Big Pun’s Widow Suing For Millions Over Logo Use

(AllHipHop News) The wife of late rapper Big Pun has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against U.S. clothing manufacturers over allegations of trademark infringement. Liza Rios claims she obtained the rights to an image of the heavyweight MC jumping while holding a microphone – similar to the famous Jordan brand logo – following the “Still Not a Player” hitmaker’s death in 2000. However, the picture has since been reproduced on a range of clothing and accessories by officials at a company called Redbubble, and sold at retail giant Walmart – all without her permission, according to legal papers. Rios has filed suit against officials at both Redbubble and Walmart, alleging they, along with other manufacturers, are willfully infringing on her trademark, because she insists they are fully aware that she holds the rights to the image. She is demanding they turn over all profits from the line, and wants an injunction to prevent further sales. In addition, Rios is seeking $10 million from the manufacturers, including Redbubble, although Walmart is not listed in that part of the complaint.

The Game’s Sexual Assault Lawsuit Hearing Postponed

(AllHipHop News) The Game’s sexual assault case has stalled so the rapper’s attorneys have more time to respond to requests to hand over his financial records. The Compton MC, born Jayceon Taylor, was sued for $10 million by Priscilla Rainey, a contestant on his U.S. reality series “She’s Got Game,” in 2015. She claimed The Game assaulted her while filming a scene in a Los Angeles bar as part of the show, in which women competed for the rap star’s affection. He lost the case in late 2016 and a $7 million default judgment was handed down in Rainey’s favor. She filed documents on March 1, claiming she hasn’t seen any money from the hip-hop star, and she asked a judge to hold him in civil contempt for refusing to comply with the judgment. A hearing was scheduled in U.S. District Court in Chicago on Thursday (March 15), but it has now been pushed to April 5th. Rainey has allegedly conducted her own investigation into The Game’s financial situation using third parties and now claims to have evidence to suggest he is diverting millions of dollars in income to avoid having to pay up. She claims she has tried multiple times to obtain his financial records from his legal team and is now asking a judge to make him appear in court and testify about his income and assets. Meanwhile, the rapper previously filed an appeal over the ruling, and also launched a lawsuit against officials at network Viacom, accusing them of failing to vet contestants and not protecting him against Rainey. He wants them to cover the costs of the judgment and pay him $13 million in damages.

Juelz Santana Pleads Not guilty To Gun And Drug Charges

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Juelz Santana has entered not guilty pleas for gun and drug possession charges following an incident at a New Jersey airport last week. Juelz, real name LaRon James, became a wanted man after fleeing from Newark International Airport on March 9, when a loaded firearm was allegedly discovered in his bag, beside his ID card, at a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint. He surrendered to cops at the Port Authority Police Department in the early hours of Monday (March 12) and was booked for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft, both of which carry a 10-year maximum sentence. Santana, 36, was also booked for unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of drugs, and on an unspecified federal warrant. He appeared before a state judge in Newark on Wednesday (March 14) when he pleaded his innocence to two of the weapons charges and the drug count, which relates to the alleged discovery of oxycodone painkillers, which he didn’t have a prescription for, in his luggage. Santana, who has been remanded in custody, is next due in court on April 9th.

YFN Lucci Accused Of Stealing His Biggest Hit “Everyday We Lit”

(AllHipHop News) Rapper YFN Lucci is accused of stealing his best-known single from another rapper. Rackboy Cam claims he made his song “Everything Be Lit” before YFN Lucci dropped his single “Everyday We Lit” with PnB Rock in December of 2016. In the lawsuit, Cam maintains YFN took his song and made minor changes, while stealing everything else, including the single’s melody. Cam is asking a judge to pull the Gold-certified song from the radio, record stores, and the streaming services. He’s also asking for any profits YFN Lucci may have earned off of the single. Listen to them both:

Southside Tells Tory Lanez He Wants All The Smoke and Then…

By Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea) (AllHipHop Rumors) Southside is one of rap’s biggest producers of the moment. The Atlanta based producer and his crew 808 Mafia have been creating the sound behind some of rap’s biggest hits for the last 10 years. If not working with frequent collaborator and 808 Mafia member TM88, Southside often works with other producers on production projects. Producers Southside has worked with range from Zaytoven and Sonny Digital to Metro Boomin and Travis Scott. Southside’s relationship with Travis Scott is what brings us to our latest rumor. Tory Lanez recently stopped by The Breakfast Club set and told a story about him and Travis Scott not seeing eye to eye over the fellow rapper singing a hook written by Tory. In the interview, Tory Lanez spoke of comparisons made between him and other artists and people not knowing that he has written songs that have been used by other artists. Essentially meaning the other artists were influenced by Tory and his style. Tory then spoke on Travis Scott saying that Travis does write his own material and the hook he sang was written by Tory but had already been placed on a T.I. and Meek Mill song. A video surfaced after the interview showing Tory and Travis having a heated exchange about the topic and the song in question. https://www.google.com/sorry/index?continue=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZRzLy58vwI&q=EgQi3HnaGOGDg_kFIhkA8aeDS4TrFww19euCaErb5Iz9sDDgDx5gMgFy Southside offered his opinion about the situation after the video surfaced only. Judge And Prison Has Cost Meek Mill Over $30 Million In Earnings

(AllHipHop News) The judge who sent Meek Mill to prison has not broken his spirits, although his pockets are suffering. Meek gave an exclusive interview to Rolling Stone from the State Correctional Institution in Chester, Pennsylvania. Meek is serving a two to four-year prison sentence, for a series of minor infractions he committed while on probation from a 2008 drug and gun case. Meek’s lawyer Joseph Tacopina maintains the judge sent him to jail after he refused to work with local veteran Charlie Mack and attempted to persuade him to leave Roc Nation Management. Meek also says Judge Genece Brinkley commanded him to record a tribute song in her honor and retaliated against him when he rejected the offer. According to management for the rapper, who has been imprisoned since November of 2017, Meek has lost more than $30 million as he sits behind bars. “We had so much money hit us, we didn’t know where to put it,” said Meek’s day-to-day manager, Phil Smith. “We’re running around the country with a half-mil, cash.” According to Meek, every time he released new material, Judge Brinkley would find a way to put a plug in his cash flow, by scrutinizing his every move. Just last year, Meek lost out on over $5 million in touring revenue, since he was locked up on the probation violation charges shortly after the release of his album Wins & Losses. Earlier this week, thousands of people rallied at the University of Pennsylvania in support of Meek and in protest of the justice system in Philadelphia. After months of court dates, Meek’s lawyers finally won a “post-conviction relief appeal,” which has been scheduled for April, when Meek could be freed from prison.

(AllHipHop News) Lauryn Hill will mark the 20th anniversary of The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill by performing the hit album in its entirety at the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago, Illinois this summer. Hill joins Fleet Foxes and Tame Impala as the headliners for the three-day event at Union Park, but her performance will be extra special. The former Fugees star’s 1998 album picked up five Grammy Awards, becoming the first hip-hop release to earn the Album of the Year honor. The War On Drugs, Chaka Khan, Blood Orange, and Courtney Barnett are also among the acts gracing the stage at the Pitchfork Festival in July.

Trey Songz’s Accuser Wants Singer “To Get Help” For Abuse

(AllHipHop News) A woman accusing Trey Songz of assault is demanding a formal apology from the singer. The ‘Bottoms Up” hitmaker, real name Tremaine Neverson, stands accused of repeatedly punching Andrea Buera at a party in Los Angeles last month, during NBA All-Star Weekend. Buera, who claims to have been friends and “occasional romantic partners” with Songz for the past three years, obtained a domestic violence restraining order against the musician last week and on Tuesday, she held a press conference with her attorney, Lisa Bloom, to publicly detail the incident for the first time. During the event, Buera grew emotional as she recalled the alleged attack, claiming Songz hit her so hard she suffered a concussion. “I was attending an afterparty when Trey began yelling at me, choking at me… and ultimately knocked me to the ground,” she said. “While I was on the ground, he continued punching me and did not stop until his security guard pulled him off me.” Buera, who had to be hospitalized for her injuries, went on to explain she had called for an Uber car service to pick her up after the altercation but alleges Songz grabbed her two cell phones and threw them off a cliff. “I was crying, terrified, in shock and I just wanted to go home,” she shared. Buera insisted there were a number of witnesses who “did nothing” during the reported assault, and now she is calling on them to come forward and help her get justice. She also shared a message for Songz directly, declaring: “You know what you did, and you know what you did was wrong. To those of you who stood and watched and did nothing, you know what he did was wrong, too. “Trey, I’d like an apology.” https://www.google.com/sorry/index?continue=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIqZCn5WE6c&q=EgQi24toGLrxgvkFIhkA8aeDS2TBaRVxcZdCUMkPhhA9kQ-Ieg6eMgFy

Trippie Redd and 6ix9ine Involved In Massive Publishing War!

By Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea) (AllHipHop Rumors) Trippie Redd and 6ix9ine are two of rap’s hottest up and coming acts. They first began making major waves after doing collaborations with each other, but recently their friendship has hit a snag. The two musicians have been having verbal and internet exchanges stating their disdain for each other. Most of the interactions involving Trippie stating his dislike of 6ix9ine over his sex charges and 6ix9ine began clowning Trippie for allegedly getting beat up. Crazy times to be involved in the ever-changing world of hip-hop and rap, I know. However, the two musicians have still been seeing their streaming numbers and sales increase during all of this. This has lead to what has been said to be a massive bidding war for publishing rights to material created by both Trippie Redd and 6ix9ine. Neither artist has yet to sign a publishing deal and the asking price is very, very high due to the success of their chart-topping records. Trippie Redd’s “A Love Letter To You” album peaked at number 64 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart. The album is also close to reaching 300,000 album units sold as of today.6ix9ine on the other is headed to a Top 5 Billboard chart showing. Three tracks from his “Day69” project have also already been certified gold.
