Ludacris Hosts “Fast & Furious” Fun Day in ATL.

April 2nd, Ludacris invited out celebrity friends and fans to the Andretti Indoor race track for a fun-filled race around the track to decide who was really “fast & furious” in Atlanta. With celebrity teams headed up by Big Boi, T-Boz & Chilli, and Luda himself. The event brought out hundreds of fans who watched the races and played games to celebrate the upcoming release of the sixth installment of Fast & Furious, Fast 6. Since the debut of the trailer for the film during Super Bowl XLVII, anticipation has been building for the Memorial Day weekend release. As the baseball season gets underway, MLB Network has been gearing up with all new programming.  Perhaps it’s part of their initiatives to reach Hip-Hop audiences, or maybe it has to do with Jay-Z signing Robinson Cano, but most recently while broadcasting live Bob Costas quoted Ludacris as he named his favorite rapper. (AllHipHop News) Atlanta rap star Ludacris is raising the profile of his custom “Soul” headphone line, with the signing of NFL superstar Tim Tebow. Ludacris’ company Soul Electronics is producing and marketing the new SL300 line which will be endorsed by Tim Tebow, who is currently the Quarterback for the New York Jets. According to Tim Tebow, his SL300 headphones with Ludacris will differ from other brands on the market, like Beats by Dr. Dre or 50 Cent’s SMS headphone line, because his are developed specifically for athletes and the rigors of training. “I was so interested in having something comfortable I could practice on the field in before games,” Tim Tebow told Mashable. “So many headphones can feel good and sound great but when you’re warming up, they fall off and that is a big distraction. (AllHipHop News) Atlanta Hip-Hop star Ludacris will star in the sixth installment of “The Fast and Furious” movie franchise. Ludacris will reprise his role as “Tej” in the movie, which will also start Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel. The rapper is also busy promoting his eighth studio album Ludaversal, which is due in stores in early 2013. The rapper recently released the third single from Ludaversal, which is titled “Rest of My Life.” The new single, which was produced by David Guetta, also features Usher. “Rest of My Life” is scheduled to go into rotation across the country on November 19. Rapper Diggy Simmons and rapper Cash Out will take part in the 30th annual Coats For Kids 2012 Radiothon, to benefit The Salvation Army. The charitable event is being sponsored by FM98 WJLB, who will broadcast the coat drive live. The goal is to help WJLB raise as much money and as many coats for needy children in the metro Detroit area. Diggy will autograph and raffle off his own jacket, while items by signed by Eminem and Royce Da 5’9 are expected to help raise funds as well. The Coats For Kids 2012 Radiothon takes place at the HYPE Recreation Center in Dearborn Heights, Michigan on Saturday, November 3. Rapper Kendrick Lamar’s New album good kid, m.A.A.d. city has landed at #2 on the Billboard 100 and #1 on the Billboard Rap and Billboard R&B charts. Kendrick’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city sold over 241,000 copies, bested only by pop singer Taylor Swift, whose latest release Red is currently the #1 record in the United States.
