(AllHipHop News) Bad Boy recording artists French Montana and Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), who are both at work on their upcoming debut albums, Excuse My French and Lace Up respectively, have revealed a few upcoming features on their respective releases set for later this year.
“You got The Weeknd, you got Max B, you got Coke Boys, you got Kanye, Big Sean, you got Wiz Khalifa,” French told Puna.NL during a recent trip to Amsterdam to perform at the Appelsap Music Festival.
The Bad Boy/MMG rapper continued, “You got a lot of features, Puff, Ross, but for the simple fact that it’s an album I’m taking my time. My mixtapes I take my time, but I never treated it like [an album]. My album is the big one.”
French Montana’s Bad Boy labelmate, MGK, also revealed some of the collaborations that fans can expect to hear when Lace Up is released in August while speaking with VladTV.
“I got legends on there,” MGK said. “DMX. Me, Tech N9ne and Twista on one track, the song everybody wanted to hear. F#####’ Eminem, I’m just playing. That would have been certified platinum…Bun B. Everyone’s really like legends.”
While speaking on both his album’s title and movement, MGK said, “Lace Up is a lifestyle. Everything I stand for, it’s everything my fans stand for. It’s tattooed on our bodies for life. It’s something I will never explain to the general public because it’s something beautiful that you have to discover for yourself. You have to find your own meaning in it.
“The album is definitely one of the best albums of the decade,” he boldly stated. “[It] will be a problem at the Grammy’s 100%. Regardless if my singles haven’t taken off the way that we wanted them to it’s all a part of the journey because I believe that because I never caught that quick-winded hype I’ll be around for a long, long time.”
MGK’s Lace Up is expected to hit stores in August, while French Montana’s Excuse My French is slated to drop late this year.
