(AllHipHop News) New York Knicks’ reigning Sixth Man of the Year, J.R. Smith was photographed partying with his ex Rihanna following an abysmal 3 for 15 shooting in a home playoff game on Tuesday (May 7th). Carmelo Anthony not only does not deem those as reprehensible actions but fully believes in his star teammate:
“Whatever he’s doing in his spare time, he does in his spare time. My thing to J.R. is I want him to remain positive, regardless of what’s going on off the court, what’s being said about him.”
Coach Mike Woodson echoed Anthony’s sentiments and believes Smith will eventually break out of his shooting slump but also hints at decreasing Smith’s playing time if things do not change. “”If I feel he’s not giving me anything, I could always turn to other guys on that bench,” says Woodson during a radio interview.
The Knicks play the Indiana Pacers in Game 4 of the Easter Conference Semi-Finals on Saturday May 11th in Indiana.
Rihanna and Smith were first linked together a year ago after they were spotted flirting at LIV nightclub in Miami’s Fontainebleau Hotel during Memorial Day weekend.
The Barbadian pop star recently split from R&B singer Chris Brown after their controversial reconciliation in late 2012.
The documentary on her 777 Tour premiered on FOX on May 6th with the DVD of the documentary released on May 7th. Watch the entire Fox-broadcasted 777 documentary below:
