(AllHipHop News) Last night (June 30) Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre was home for the 13th annual BET Awards. Performers from different generations and genres took the stage to perform including Chris Brown with Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar with Erykah Badu, and an all-star jam session of Justin Timberlake, Snoop Lion, Pharrell, and Charlie Wilson.

Kendrick and Drake were the big winners of the evening with each emcee earning three awards. K-Dot took home trophies for Best Male Hip Hop Artist and Best New Artist. Drizzy won both The Viewers’ Choice Award and Video of the Year for his single “Started From The Bottom.” Kendrick and Drake joined A$AP Rocky and 2 Chainz in winning the Best Collaboration category for the A$AP led “F*ckin’ Problems.”
Uncle Charlie Wilson’s storied career was celebrated with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and three-time NBA champion Dwayne Wade’s work with his Wade’s World Foundation was acknowledged with the Humanitarian Award.
