Pharrell, Beyoncé, and Common took time to offer symbolic support to the #BlackLivesMatter protesters by including the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” gesture in their respective sets. Common and Legend closed the show with a rendition of their Oscar-nominated song “Glory” from the film Selma.
