(AllHipHop News) Tyga has expressed he is not bothered by the low sale numbers for his latest project The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, but it seems the head of Cash Money is not too pleased about the roll out of the LP. According to TMZ, Birdman is p##### that Tyga released TGA for free on music streaming platforms.

The website reports:

Our sources say the Cash Money honcho thinks Tyga sunk his album — which sold just 2,200 copies in its first week — because everyone could listen to the songs for free. By comparison, Tyga’s last record sold nearly half a million copies.

Insiders also tell TMZ Birdman believes the California rapper was trying to pull a “stunt” in order to get out of his contract with Cash Money. Apparently, the label is not counting The Gold Album as an official release, so Tyga still owes the company one more album.

Drake was also caught up in a contractual dispute with Cash Money over an “album” release. In February, Datpiff.com’s Kyle “KP” Reilly confirmed Drake and CMR agreed instead of dropping If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late as a free mixtape it would be released as an official Drake album under his contract.

“It was a mutual decision since he wanted to give it away,” said Reilly. “[The label] said, ‘Hell no,’ not in those words, so they ‘agreed’ to do it this way as a middle ground and it would count towards his Cash Money deal album total.”
